2017The Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia and the Uniiversity of Lincoln hope to see you all again in December 2017 at Lincoln’s biggest and best community fundraising event in the historic streets of the Bailgate.

2016 SponsorsBackgroundAfter several years organising this event on behalf of our Club, Chris Illsley announced this time last year that he was stepping down and subsequently also stepped down from our Rotary Club. The club thanks Chris for his efforts in previous years.Member Ray Peters took up the mantle of organising the event and gathered a team of members to help him. It was a big challenge to take on, and we knew that in 2016 we would be unable to match the sums previously raised, partly because our expenditure for the event would be necessarily greater than in previous years.Nevertheless we are happy that 2500 runners took part and that we have been able to be in a position to donate several thousand pounds from the event. Congratulations to Ray and his team. We will build on this success in 2017.

Doggy DashThe Doggy Dash again gave us a colourful spectacle of some interesting outfits for man’s best friend and brought additional fun to this amazing spectacle.

Thanks to Jerry Green Dog Recue for their help and support with this once more and to Gill Smith who really enjoyed her role in organising our doggy friends.

Elf & FitnessOnce again the e-slot newsletter was used as an eye-catching way of promoting the event providing important information and updates and giving insights into our sponsors and our supported charities.
