  • Dear colleagues,

Medical conferences are an essential component of our continued medical education. As we are allaware, this terrible COVID-19 pandemic has changed the whole dynamics of medical practice. One of the most affected is medical education and training, which has taken a backseat. Though there are webinars being held globally on a regular basis, but a true face to face meeting seems unlikely for the next few months, if not years.Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India therefore decided to hold this mid-term meeting virtually, a postgraduate course for young gastroenterologists and endoscopists. We are happy that 27 Foreign and 84 Indian experts of great repute have joined us as faculty for thisconference. Though the conference is being held virtually, we will have state of art lectures, keynoteaddresses, panel discussions, breakaway sessions, e-posters, as well as a video contest. We are sure you will find this conference an academically enriching experience.

    Dear colleagues,

SGEI is committed to the dissemination of scientific knowledge and research in the field of endoscopy. It is very impressive to see the transformation of physical conference to a virtual platform during this pandemic of COVID-19. Congratulations to the organizing team for the great effort and brining on board the faculty from across the world with carefully selected topics.

Best wishes to SGEI Mid Term Meeting 2020, Kolkata.
