This year, the theme of Internaonal Womens day was Each for Equal'' meaning we should all be equal regardless of gender. We were fortunate enough to be able to listen to many inspiraonal speeches and stories by such amazing women about the importance of equality in genders and how we should strive towards gender equality for our future. We are very thankful and honoured to have been able to aend such an important event and represent SGHS. Week 8 B Term 1 2020

International Women’s Day Morning Tea

On Friday the 6th of March 2020, the SRC and prefects attended the

International Women’s Day morning tea at Strathfield Town Hall, along with

other schools and members of the Strathfield community. This year, the

theme of International Women’s day was “Each for Equal'' meaning we should

all be equal regardless of gender. We were fortunate enough to be able to

listen to many inspirational speeches and stories by such amazing women

about the importance of equality in genders and how we should strive

towards gender equality for our future. We are very thankful and honoured to

have been able to attend such an important event and represent SGHS.

Leadership Day at Marie Bashir Primary School

On Thursday 27th of February 2020, 4 faculty leaders and 4 SRC leaders attended Marie Bashir Primary school.

Various primary schools came together and our SGHS leaders acted as mentors to each group in helping each

primary school come up with a solution to an identified problem within their school. Our SGHS mentors provided

them with guidance and ideas about actioning a solution to their identified issue within their schools. We thank

MBPS for the opportunity and look forward to future collaborations.

99.15 in the HSC and is furthering her

Term 1 Week 7 Sport News

Sydney East Region Touch Knockout Competition

On the 12th March, Strathfield Girls High School played Lucas Heights Community School in the 1st Round of the

Sydney East knockout Touch Football competition. The Strathfield team made a strong start to the match and

gained an 8-0 lead at half time. The team kept a high intensity throughout the 2nd half of the match, and showed

fantastic teamwork. The Strathfield Girls Team won the match 12-1. A big congratulations to the team for all

their hard work and effort. The team consisted of the following players:
