Shale Exploration Certification

Retrain America’s Shale Exploration Certification provides a comprehensive, career-focused education that prepares participants for the complete range of entry level positions available, and lays a foundation for rapid career advancement. To do this, we take participants through the entire process of drilling a well, from site selection and preparation to well completions, and every step in between. Students gain an understanding of the equipment, processes, and procedures involved in each phase of operations, as well as the core science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) principles that underpin these operations. Additionally, the course begins introducing students to advanced concepts such as directional drilling and underbalanced drilling.
