CLEANING SOAPByShamya MckenziePROBLEM STATEMENTDOES SOAP REMOVE DIRT FROM A DIRTY CLOTH?HYPOTHESISIf soap is poured directly on a dirty cloth, then the dirt will be removed from the cloth.PROCEDURESPlace a bowl on a firm area.Place a dirty cloth the bowl.Pour 1 tsp. of Gain laundry soap on the dirty cloth.Pour 1 cup of water on the cloth.Scrub the dirty cloth. with a toothbrush for 2 minutes.6. Fill up another bowl with 1 cup of water cup of water.7. Dip cloth in water.8. Wring cloth out.9. Repeat steps 1-8 with Soft Soap.10. Repeat steps 1-8 with antibacterial soap.11. Repeat steps 1-8 with dish soap.

RESULTSGain laundry soap does the best job cleaning the stains. Antibacterial hand soap and dish soap did not clean the dirt very well.CONCLUSIONAfter testing different soaps the results proved my hypothesis to be partially correct. The result proved that Gain laundry soap is the best stain remover. Laundry soap was the most useful when removing dirt from my cloth and clothes. Dish soap was the same as antibacterial hand soap and was not effective. Dish soap is effective with dishes as antibacterial hand soap is with cleaning hands. This project was very helpful especially for someone who has dirty clothes and little time to shop around to find different soaps to remove stains. It saves times and money.
