City of Dallas Every taxicab must have a display receptacle approved by the director securely affixed to a conspicuous place on the dashboard. A display receptacle shall be at least 6 1/4 inches by 10 inches in area, constructed of a rigid material, and designed to accommodate the following information in accordance with the required dimensions:
– At least a two inch by two inch colored passport quality photograph of the driver, with the driver’s name as it appears on the driver’s Texas driver’s license and the taxicab driver’s license number placed under the photograph in block letters and numbers not less than three sixteenths inch high with at least a one sixteenths inch stroke, must be laminated as a single unit not less than 2 1/4 inches by 3 1/2 inches.
– The company name in block letters not less than one half inch high with at least a one eighth inch stroke, with the taxicab number placed under it in block numbers and letters not less than three fourths inch high with at least a three sixteenths inch stroke, must be laminated as a single unit not less than three inches by 2 1/2 inches.
– Taxi rates in block numbers at least nine sixteenths inch high with at least a three sixteenths inch stroke and in block letters at least one eighth inch high with at least a 1/32 inch stroke must be laminated as a single unit not less than 6 1/2 by six inches.
City of Los Angeles Each taxicab operator shall maintain a driver appearance standard, approved by the Board, which will apply to all taxicab drivers operating within the City of Los Angeles, consisting of black dress pants (no jeans of any type), white dress shirt or polo type shirt (polo shirt must be embroidered with company name and/or logo), tie acceptable but not required, and black shoes with black socks, with black skirts allowed for female drivers.
