contemplate) on these things” (Philippians 4:8). The challenge for every Christian is to sort through the confusion of the world and settle the mind back on the clarity of the Lord Jesus Christ. If we are being honest, there is a lot of “stuff” to sort through in the world and take in from time to time, which can simply wear on our hearts and our minds the point of being discouraged so much so that we just want to give up and not go on anymore. OUR JR. HIGH PRAYER…. Breakfast continues to be a great time of fellowship and prayer! We had a huge crowd on hand this past Thursday morning and all benefited from a brief time of prayer to kick off the school day! We also had our final 5th Quarter of the football season Friday night! After a thrilling game, we loaded up for a haunted hayride through Hickman County! It was an awesome night and I’m so thankful that we had that opportunity. I’d like to say a special thank you to Mike Goodpasture and Troy Bates for heading up our hayride department and making this such a great night! Our 5th Quarters will pick back up once the basketball season has

kicked off, so be looking for the details soon! TRUNK-OR-TREAT IS COMING UP ON OCTOBER 31ST…. This will be our second year for Trunk-or-Treat and we are hoping for another huge turnout. Anyone wanting to decorate their trunk and pass out candy needs to be set up in the back parking lot and ready to go around 6pm. We will also have hotdogs and drinks for everyone who stops by. This is open to everyone in our community, so spread the word and encourage people to stop by! It’s bound to be an awesome night! FRIGHT NIGHT 2011 WILL BE COMING UP ON….

Thursday, Oct. 27th! The bus will pull out at 6p and should be back around 9:30p. The cost for Fright Night will be $20. Make sure you eat before we leave. We will have the opportunity to see 3 haunted attractions on this night, so invite a friend and get ready for an unforgettable night! A SIGN-UP LIST HAS BEEN PLACED IN THE LOBBY FOR…. anyone who wishes to host the Lighthouse. We have over 30 kids nearly every Wednesday night for the Lighthouse and have been averaging over 40 in Bible class. If you wish to host, all you need to do is be in the Lighthouse from 5-7p and provide a meal for 30-35 kids. If you cannot be at the Lighthouse on the night you wish to host but still would like to provide the meal, you can do that as well. This is a great ministry, the more we have involved, the more success we can have! WE ARE HAVING A FIRESIDE THIS SUNDAY NIGHT…. hosted by the Qualls. The bus pulls out after service and will be back around 9p! Light the Way-Chris
