As the country’s largest not-for-profit theatre company, Roundabout reaches over 650,000 theatregoers each year on five stages. After half a century of producing, Roundabout remains committed to spotlighting classics while cultivating future voices of the theatrical canon. Roundabout has received 36 Tony Awards® and 55 Drama Desk Awards for acclaimed productions like Anything Goes, Cabaret, and The Humans. Offstage, Roundabout’s transformational education and community engagement programs reach more than 28,000 NYC public school students, educators, and community members annually.

You may not know that ticket sales cover less than half of our budget each year. To close the gap, Roundabout relies on charitable contributions from individuals like you to ensure our success on and off the stage.

NEW PLAYS AND EMERGING WRITERS

YOUR GIFT SUPPORTS...

Roundabout is one of few producing theatrical institutions dedicated to preserving our legacy through an institutional Archive, serving as an invaluable resource for artists, historians, and theatre enthusiasts.

ARCHIVING OUR HISTORY

We’ve created a five-year strategic plan to incorporate a bigger focus on equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism in our work, workplaces, and our community. Your support will help fuel our work to create a better theatre company. You can find out more about our plans at edi.roundabouttheatre.org.

NEW PLAYS AND EMERGING WRITERS

Roundabout reintroduces new audiences to beloved and lesser known plays and musicals with the ability to take artistic risk as only a not-for-profit can. We also work to shine a spotlight on plays and playwrights once overlooked because of their identity through The Refocus Project.

CELEBRATING AND EXPANDING CLASSICS

Roundabout invests over $4 million in after school and summer programs, in-school residencies, and professional development opportunities for teachers, artists, administrators, and students. We also offer Relaxed Performances for individuals with special needs, and free and deeply discounted tickets to underserved communities.
