the sharon scooI cant believe it, I finally graduated from UC Irvine!

God has abundantly blessed me over these four years

in college, and I am thankful for every minute of my

experience at UCI. But whats next for me?

    * * *

I am so excited to say that I will be STINTing for a

year with MK2MK, a part of Campus Crusade

whose primary ministry is to MKs (missionary

kids). I will be based in Orlando, where I will put

my brand new Bachelor of Arts degree to good use.

However, STINT stands for Short Term

INTernational, so I will by no means be stuck in

Orlando; by working with MK2MK I will have the

opportunity to travel to conferences and serve

    MKs all over the world.

Missionary kids are uniquethey carry an

understanding of both their passport countries and

the countries that they have lived in. They are the

embodiment of this ages hodgepodge of cultures

and the epitome of globalization. As such, they are

singularly prepared to be the leaders of the next

generation. As an MK myself, I am innately

burdened for other MKs. I believe that God has

specially equipped me to disciple younger MKs by

developing them in their own spiritual journeys

and teaching them that they can have an impact

    wherever they are.

    THROUGH RELATIONSHIPS

Sharing a fun moment with Amanda and

Elisa, two high school MKs, on my recent

    trip with MK2MK to Ethiopia.

    FIRST STOP: ARGENTINA

To begin my STINT, I will be going on MK2MKs summer

project to Rosario, Argentina in July. It will be an amazing

opportunity for me to get to know a lot of younger high-

school age MKs who are coming on an MK2MK project for

the first time. We will be encouraging the students on our

project to learn how to share their faith as well as their own

personal testimonyfor many of them, this will be the first

time. I cannot wait to see how God will work in both the

lives of the MKs on the trip AND the lives of those in

    Argentina.

    WILL YOU JOIN ME?

This upcoming year looks a little daunting, for many

    reasons.

    1) I will be moving away from California, which hasbecome a new home for me.

    2) Its the next step after college, which Im guessingis usually a little nerve-wracking.

    3) This will be more than a 5 week trip, it will be ayear-long adventure!

    Matthew 28: 19-20

Therefore go and make disciples ofall nations, baptizing them in the

name of the Father and of the Son

and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching

them to obey everything I have

commanded you. And surely I am

with you always, to the very end of

    the age.

But even with all of these things, I cannot explain how EXCITED I am to take this next step. But I cant do it alone!

I would be thrilled if you would embark on this journey with me. Please pray for me and consider partnering with me

financially. I need to raise$3500 for the trip to Argentina as well as$4300 in one time gifts for STINT. I am

also looking for people to financially support me on a monthly basismy goal is $2000 per month. Please indicate on

the attached card if you will be partnering with me by June 1. I will also be checking in with you by phone sometime

soon. Please make checks payable to Campus Crusade for Christ. Thank you again for all of your prayers and

support! You have already had a huge impact on my life, and for that I am so grateful!

    Sincerely,

    Sharon Whelchel
