SHARPS COLLECTION
FREE TO ALL INGHAM COUNTY RESIDENTS*
Residents who use syringes, needles and lancets to administer medications at home and produce “sharps” medical waste can prevent injury, infection, and pollution by utilizing
the Ingham County Medical Sharps Disposal Program.
Participants can bring in sharps for disposal in any rigid container with a tight lid, including red medical waste containers, coffee cans, or plastic detergent bottles.
Sharps will NOT be accepted in bags, glass jars or any soft sided container that the sharps can poke through, such as pop bottles, milk jugs, diaper wipe containers or
cardboard oatmeal containers. Any containers with items sticking out, without lids or with loose lids will NOT be accepted.

Ingham County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Every Tuesday and Thursday 2-6 p.m.

For October through April either: Call the Ingham County Recycling Hotline number below; or Granger accepts full sharps containers at their Wood Road recycling site office;
