DELVING DEEPER
by Timothy Hume Behrendt,
SNP Coordinator
Ah, another new year. Another year to live
and do what we need to do and enjoy doing.
It’s understandable why people create New
Year’s resolutions. But this is something we
must do every day, because each day is new and unique and
requires us to respond with our wisest self.
Now that may sound like a cliché, but it’s true. Every
day we live we get a little wiser because of what we experience.
Some of that will be painful, granted, but that, too is part of
every life ever lived. So we all need to face the New Year with
an open mind and heart, and an ever wisdom oriented
consciousness.

EXERCISE IS FOR EVERYONE!
No matter what your age and almost in any physical condition, you can try these
exercises. Start with a few, and add more each time your practice, if you’re okay with it
physically.
1. Reach down toward your toes while standing, going further down each day. Try to add
up to 25 per session over a period of days.
2. Stretch out your arms and twirl them in clockwise, then counter-clockwise circles.
3. Rotate your head in clockwise, then counter-clockwise circles to strengthen your neck.
All this should be done with mindfulness and caution if you have any health condition
that might be aggravated. (Check with your doctor.)

Enjoy SNP IN WINTER
We have a nicely plowed parking
area for vehicles that allows visitors to
follow our trail to beautiful Black Creek.
This year it will be groomed for cross
country skiing or snow shoeing when
there’s enough snow.
