You may use your phones, tablets, computers, etc.

How it’s Made

Each group will share with the rest of the class what types of tools and materials we will need for this project.

Safety Equipment

Materials Needed

2x 5”x5” pieces of galvanized tin.12” barbed wire 1 stick of flux coated brazing rodGreen and red spray paint.

Tools Needed

Duck bill pliers Needle nose pliers Metal shearsAcetylene torch Heavy wire cutters

Step 1

Measure and cut out:1x 5’’ round of tin1x 4.5’’ round of tin

Step 2

Cut four 1.5’’ slits toward the middle of each piece.

Step 3

One ear at a time, fold over the edge with your duck bill pliers, and curve the petal until it starts to take the shape of a rose.

Step 4

Once both pieces are shaped, they will be placed within one another and brazed together.

Step 5

Carefully cut of 1 12’’ piece of barbed wire and braze it to the bottom of the rose.

Step 6

Paint your roses whatever color you like, and be amazed at what you have created with your own hands.
