This past year I had the privilege of spending a little time with each of our missionary teams in Burkina Faso. I saw first hand, just a glimpse of the sacrifices they make daily, to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the mission field. At an ordination ceremony in Banfora, one Sunday morning, the church conducted a service under a huge tent in the desert. Attendance was taken by picking up a pebble off the ground and dropping into buckets passed through the rows. Eight hundred and seventeen people were present. One of those was the right hand man of the Chief of Kimini. From a predominantly Animistic, and Muslim village, he took great interest as the gospel message presented through praise and worship, prayer and a sermon presented in Jula and French. The preacher spoke on what it means to suffer for Christ and count it all joy! We recognize that each of you make sacrifices daily to support our teams with time, money, prayers, separation from family and more… For this we offer our deepest gratitude. Banfora church

Each time Mike visited Kabo, checking the progress of the project, he noticed an old woman with a large

plastic container tied to her bicycle, walking through the compound and down a small hill to get water from

the deep water, hand pump well that we drilled last October. She walked up and down this hill at least 8

times a day to bring water to her home. He recognized her as Lizette, a widow in our sponsorship program

and our closest neighbor in Kabo. With the help of the local pastor, Mike spoke with her and found out that

her husband died several years ago. She takes care of her three adult children, all of whom are mentally

disabled. She expressed deep gratitude for God directing our path to Kabo, for the project and for the well.

This is the first clean water she has been able to provide to her family. Other wells are simply too far away.

Mike shared Lizette's story and how he would like to provide her with a donkey and cart so that she could

get water in only one trip. Visitors, the Still-Pepper's hearts were touched by this widow. This family decid-

ed to purchase the donkey and cart. They were blessed to be able to deliver this gift directly to Lizette's

home. What a life changing moment for this precious widow. We recently visited Lizette. She told us she

could never thank us enough and knows that it is because of God's love that this has happened to her. She

says that every day when she takes her donkey down to get water, she prays for us and all the work that

God is doing. Amy Riddering-

Thank you Lord for faithful widows who keep us in constant prayer. Amen Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; Romans 12:10 (NASB)

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

But thanks be to God, who in Christ al-

ways leads us in triumphal procession,

and through us spreads the fragrance of

the knowledge of him everywhere. For we

are the aroma of Christ to God among

those who are being saved and among
