Think Fabricate is a Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary design studio founded in 2009. We provide design solutions for better living, learning, and community through furniture, product, graphic and industrial design. Our common ground is commitment to teamwork, research, and an on-going exploration of function, detail, and character in our work. Each piece is handcrafted in our East Wiliamsburg, Brooklyn, fabrication shop using natural wood, applied color, meaningful visual motifs and modern forms. We are proud to bring the human element, genuineness, appreciation of material, and the inclusive spirit that grows from our Brooklyn roots to the process and design of all our furnishings, which include seating, chests, mirrors, wall-mounted storage units, and wall panel systems.

Shift is a set of 5, 8, or 10 cleat-hung cabinets designed to be confi gured as shown. The various sets in the Shift series are available with all cabinets in a single color, selected from our standard colors; in a combination of plyboo with a wood veneer selected from one of our standard veneers; and in one of our standard color palettes which combine a series of colors. Our standard color palettes are shown on the previous page, illustrated on Shift 30. The colored versions are water-borne lacquer on MDF, except in the case of “carbon copy” palette, the color is applied to ash veneer. Shift is available with squared-off edges on all constituent cabinets, or with the product’s signature combination of edge chamfers and details, some modern, some traditional, as shown on many of these pages. Custom colors and other variations are available upon request.

Delivery. Please inquire for delivery options and cost.
Lead Times. Lead times indicated on our product literature are based on customary lead time for such products. However, they vary depending upon the volume of work at the time. We will confi rm lead time for any standard product at the time your order is placed, and will provide you with a lead time and schedule for custom products as we develop the project. Customary lead time can vary from 4-12 weeks depending on the item.
Sustainability. We are committed to sustainable practices and all furnishings are available using materials and fi nishes which respect the environment. Technical information on the sustainable attributes of our projects is available upon request.
Materials. We use a wide variety of materials and fi nishes. We use a range of hardwood and veneers, all of which exhibit the natural properties and variation of natural wood, which includes expansion and contraction in response to ambient temperatures.We fi nd that these natural properties add to the beauty of the material and we hope that you will appreciate these inherentqualities! In addition, we use professional spray and handling techniques, some of which exhibit the character of the underlying substrate. We take great pride in the quality of ourwork and the materials used. In some cases, the natural appearance of the materials and the handmade aspect of the fi nishes and the work are apparent, and we believe this adds to the handmade quality and the character of our work.
