SHIPPING & HANDLING PROCEDURES FOR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
Certain items sold and serviced by Southeast Aerospace have been identified as Hazardous Materials, i.e. Hazmat.
Southeast Aerospace takes great care and responsibility in training our employees in the proper procedures of handling hazardous materials.
Hazmat DocumentationSEA provides Hazmat paperwork from our location to the first destination we ship to Only. SEA does not provide any Hazmat paperwork from this point on. It is the responsibility of the freight forwarder or carrier to provide any Hazmat documentation that is needed to ship the order from the current location to the next. Please check with your freight forwarder and confirm they can provide any necessary documentation they will need to ship your order.
Hazmat Labels
When receiving a shipment of hazardous materials from Southeast Aerospace, one or more of the following labels may be attached.
The following is a sample of standard hazardous material shipping labels:
DOT Lithium Battery Marking Label
Danger Do Not Load in Passenger Aircraft Label
Lithium Battery Handling Label
DOT “Misc Dangerous Goods Class 9” Label
Hazmat RatesIn some cases, additional handling and transportation fees will be applied for hazardous materials. Please speak to your
PLEASE NOTE:In order to ship hazardous materials (HAZMAT) the shipper must have HAZMAT certified personnel. SEA will provide HAZMAT paperwork along with proper packaging and labeling for shipments directly to our customers. If the shipment must be sent to another location such as a freight forwarder, SEA will provide the HAZMAT paperwork to the original ship to address only. Please contact your freight forwarder prior to ordering to verify that they are HAZMAT certified. SEA is not responsible for issues that arise if your freight forwarder does not have HAZMAT qualified personnel.
