TRICK DOG TITLE APPLICATION

NOVICE (NTD)

INSTRUCTIONS: Earn your NTD title by performing tricks totaling 15 points in front of any witness. Applications witnessed by a Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI) will have additional credentials. Leashes may be used to prevent the dog from running off, but shall not be used to pull the dog into the desired behavior. Physical Manipulation may not be employed to get the dog to do a trick. Treats/toys may be used as a lure on only 50% of the tricks. Positive: Tricks must be taught through positive reinforcement methods, and without the use of aversives.
