Two grown men, who are brothers, decide to visit their great uncles old abandoned house to claim the deeds for the house, They get there in the dead of night due to 10 hour drive, the house has no power at all, They rummage through the downstairs of the house looking for the deeds as they reminisce their childhood, remembering their uncle screaming at them to never go upstairs, They hear some very paranormal things in the house, they decide to wait outside in the car until it gets light, The older sibling gets tired of waiting and goes back in the house and up the stairs, the younger follows, they see a surgery table with tools on top, jars of organs underneath, they soon realise there was more to their uncle than they thought..

The Deeds This title fits my short movie as it doesnt give away too much of the storyline and the deeds to the house are the main reason the story happens. The word deeds also links to bad deeds, as though bad things will happen.Dont Go Upstairs This title works because the story emphasises the threat towards the characters not to go up the stairs, and creates tension when they do.

Concept

My short film is similar to The Woman in Black due to the fact the main character trying to sell a house that is haunted due to the owners in the past.Paranormal activity links to the concept of my short film as strange things are happening around people in a house that they have no idea about.This film, House at the End of the Street, has a similar story line due to a member of the family in a house who ended up killing people for some unknown reason.

My short film would be a non-linear narrative due to the whole story being told by one of the brothers and due to the story including a flashback.Narrative

The lighting on the scene of the moving car will be in the day light, which will be easy to do as the sun will be my main light source.All other scenes will be at night time so I will need a relatively low lighting with some dim lighting so that the audience are able to see the characters and props and see what the characters are doing. To create the dim light, I will need a small light source such as the moonlight or a spotlight lamp to imitate the moonlight.Lighting
