A note from author

I have written many stories till now. Some of these you will be

reading further in this book. The idea of writing these books

came to myknowledge from activities and news from day to day

livesand also news.

The first story in my short book is Insect. You may spend your

daily lives without even noticing other lives around. One of

them is Insect.It will help children learn about preserving

nature and at the same time respect each and every form of

life.

The second book is Water Voice. I often heard cases of tsunami

striking and destroy many lives. Though this book is not focused

on an actual tsunami it do focuses on the importance of saving

water. Water is also known as nectar which gives us lives. It isdifficult to think that how can we human the most advanced

species on !arth treat this nectar so badly. The plot of this story

may not be good but there are a lots of moral values attached to

this story.

All of these books are rather fictional as I feel that the best way

to make someone understand morals is fiction. "ope you take a

look at this book and never forget.

The struggle of Insects

Chapter-I Once there was a

very dense forest near Delhi. The forest was a very

pleasant place. It was home for many animals and

also for many insects. The forest had a very large

tree which was very hard to be cut down. The bigtree was a bunch of many trees supporting each

other. Just under that safe tree there was a huge

insect village settled near a small puddle. The

village was a very happy place to live for each and

every insect. There was no shortage of food water

or any other thing.

The !ing of the

village was a beetle who was also !nown as the big

beetle. The big beetle had a very strong shell and

horn which made him nearly invincible. The !ing

had one son named "io. "io was a good leader and

often participated in social activities. The village

was a tropical village as it was home of many !inds

the little ones while the grasshoppers were calming

down the scared insects. $ll the heads of the insect

species group had a meeting about this emergency

situation. They ensured that the relief camps were

doing well and were now discussing on the issue of

their damaged home. They had a couple of

suggestions and finally they decided that some

insects would be chosen and will be given the #ob to

find a new home for all the insects.

The ne(t morning

) grasshopper named *re! + ants named "ico and

,ico ) butterfly named -lora honeybees named

&crat %va %ga ,omico Jo#o and ) beetle named

"io were as!ed to find a new home for them to live.

They all moved out even before the rays of the sun

touched the ground. $ccording to the orders of the

!ing beetle they are given / wee!s to find and guide

all the insects to the new place.

The caravan flew

continuously for / days. The grasshopper was

sitting on the top of butterfly0 the honeybees were

holding the ants. $fter a long travel for / days the

environment finally started changing. Instead of soil

there was grey structures and hard soil and instead

of trees there were tall grey and hard soil. The

grasshopper was a scholar and !new the actual

names of these strange soil and trees. 1e e(plained

that those trees are called buildings and this soil is

called concrete. 2eetle ordered all the insects to

set camp. $ll the insects 3uic!ly erected a camp

made of leaves and twigs. The ants made delicious

leaf soup in leaf bowls. Then the beetle tal!ed

about their #ourney and how important is their

#ourney. Then they slept and the ne(t morning they

pac!ed up everything and proceeded on their

#ourney.

On the other

side of the road was another road heading to a

mysterious place but in order to reach on that road

they have to cross the huge traffic of the metal

monsters moving swiftly on road. &o they decided to

fly above the road 3uic!ly. In the middle of the road

a bird attac!ed the insects the insects started

flying as 3uic!ly as possible but unfortunately the

wings of the birds hit #o#o honeybee which fell on

the head of metal monster. $ll the other insects

moved towards the metal monster but the metal

monster was too fast #ust then grasshopper ordered

butterfly to fly higher. The butterfly 3uic!ly flew

higher and then the grasshopper 3uic!ly #umped

towards the metal monster and reached on top of

metal monster. $s the butterfly was flying up the

#umping of the grasshopper did not affect it much.

4ery soon the monster stopped moving and

everyone safely landed on the monster. The

butterfly aided the honeybee and then the beetle

said that the rest of the #ourney can be done by this

monster.

Chapter-II

Insects were now #ust

en#oying the sceneries. &oon the monster stopped in

front of a building. The building was very tall. The

beetle said that our destiny could be found on the

top of the building. They all started flying up and up

to reach the top of the building. &oon the sun set

and the moon and stars started lightening up in the

s!y. The beetle said that now they should find a

place to set a camp. Then butterfly advised that

they can set up their camp on the window. They

3uic!ly reached the window and set up their camp.

Just then the ants informed the beetle that they

have mista!enly dropped the food supplies. The

beetle was feeling very sad and hungry #ust then the

beetle smelled a very delicious smell. The beetle

started following the smell but #ust then hit

something and again came to his senses the beetle

!noc!ed the thing that was stopping him but cannot

see that thing. Then a voice from dar! said that it is

a mirror. The beetle at once understood that those

insects were termites.

The termites continued

that on the other hand of this mirror there is lots of

food to eat. The beetle !new that termites eat only

wood so he as!ed the termites that can they ma!e a

shortcut route to go there. The termites said that

the wood near window tastes bad but don5t worry

we have made another route going through the tasty

wood to the !itchen. The beetle had no other choice

so he decided that he grasshopper / honeybees )

ant will go with termite. They all started following

the termite into a dar! wooden cave which seemed

endless. The legs of the insects were now paining

and now insects started losing their hope. Then the

termite said that now there are + ways ahead.

Termite gave a choice that they can either go to left

to ta!e some help from light insects or they can #ust

continue on their path. &eeing the status of other

insects the beetle as!ed the termite to show them

way to the light insects.

The termite started

moving in the left entrance of cave. &oon they could

see lots of light bulbs glowing at the end of the

cave. $t the end they could see thousands of

insects flying with their bac!s glowing li!e stars in

s!y. The termite said that now they should as! one

light insect to help them and show them way. Just

then a group of insects attac!ed the beetle. The

beetle tried to fight bac! but he was not able to

fight so many insects. The light insects too! beetle

to the middle of a large pond where the 3ueen light

insect was standing. The beetle as!ed the 3ueen

the reason of trapping him. The light insect told her

minions to go away. Then the 3ueen said that no

one can come here without her permission. The

beetle did not have time to waste in tal!ing so he

as!ed that they are on a #ourney and need help from

someone who may show them the way to !itchen.

The 3ueen became very e(cited and said that shewas never allowed to go on #ourneys and as!ed that

can she go with them. The beetle agreed and as!ed

her to 3uic!ly move towards termite cave.

$ll the other insects

were already standing and waiting for beetle the

beetle ordered the insects to close the entrance.

The termite started eating up wood and slowly

pieces of wood were stac!ing in front of entrance.

The beetle was about to reach there when a huge

light insect stood in front of beetle. The beetle

threw the big light insect with its horn. $nd then

#ust before the entrance was completely closed

they entered the cave. The 3ueen said that now she

will show them their way to the !itchen. $fter

travelling for a long time they finally reached the

!itchen. The beetle ordered all insects to ta!e as

much food they can ta!e. $fter ta!ing a large

amount of food they decided to move bac! #ust then

the termite told that they can go from the window

the beetle saw that the termite had made another

hole which was going through the window. The

beetle and other insects than!ed the termite for

ma!ing a shortcut route. That night everyone ate as

much as they could eat with delight and also they

got a new member in their mission. The ne(t

morning everyone flew till they reached the top ofthe building but that place was the worst place one

had ever seen. %verything was in bro!en state and

there was not a single plant. $ll their hard wor! had

gone waste. The beetle became very sad. Then a

ladybug came from nowhere and said 6your #ourney

is not over insect your #ourney has reached to itsdeadliest challenge. ,ow I will show you the way to

the insect heaven the best place for insects7.

%veryone was surprised0 everyone was thin!ing how

she !new about their #ourney. Then the ladybug

continued 6move through the s!y of birds to the red

tower reach the top of the tower and see the

setting sun. 8ou will get your destination7. Then the

ladybug flew away.

The insects had no other

way and so had to trust upon the ladybug. They all

started flying high in the s!y of birds. Then

suddenly a group of birds started chasing the

insects and was trying to eat. 9ost of the insects

were panic!ing then the beetle 3uic!ly landed on

the head of a bird and started pulling its feathers.

$fter pulling different feathers finally the beetle

understood to control the bird. ,ow the bird started

fighting other birds unwillingly. Then the beetle said

that they can travel the rest of their #ourney by this

bird. %veryone was scared for a while then they

understood that the bird is in control of the beetle.

They all reached the top of the red tower and luc!ily

the sun was now setting and so they all watched

the setting sun. Then the butterfly saw a huge

garden full of greenery. :ith happiness running over

the faces of the insects they all flew towards the

garden. In their way they saw that the garden was

connected to the first road where Jo#o honeybee

got in#ured. They all ate there dinner from the food

supplies in the garden. The dinner was very

delicious. Then the beetle as!ed the honey bees to

go and guide all the other insects till there.

The ne(t morning all

the honeybees went to pic! up other insects. The

honeybees went to pic! up other insects the ne(t

morning. They 3uic!ly moved as per the map which

they made during their flight to the garden.

&uddenly a very huge mammal stepped in the way

of honeybees. The honeybees flew away but then a

bird came into their way and started attac!ing the

insects. $ll insects 3uic!ly ran towards the mouth

of dog and then they suddenly changed their path

because of this the bird came into dog5s mouth.

They 3uic!ly reached the main road. They loo!ed

bac!wards to see their #ourney till now. Jo#o

suddenly saw a sewage which led them to the

#ungle safely. %veryone laughed. They 3uic!ly

crossed the road and they went bac! to garden

safely through sewage lines. They all celebrated

and all the insects in #ourney were given honor

medal. Then the insect village nurtured.

but "ishi didn5t laugh as he thought this a

serious matter. "ishi was concerned and slept

in worry as he was l iving in a coastal place.

The ne(t day when he went to school he saw

that many children had already left the school.

The school was shut for indefinite time by the

District $uthority. 1e had to go bac! alone in

his bus. "ishi had learned that we always use

water unnecessary without caring about it.

:ater is very neccessary for our lives. :ithout

water we could not l ive. "ishi !new this was

true but he also !new that only a meager ?

people understand this. :hen rishi came bac!

home his mom opened the main door and said to

rishi that it is true a big tsunami would stri!e

India in ne(t one wee!. &he also said that we

would move Delhi ne(t morning. "ishi 3uic!ly

helped his parents in pac!ing the bags. $t @A BB

$9 "ishi and his family headed out in ta(i and

went to airport but sadly all fl ights had been

cancelled due to the bad weather. when "ishi;s

family was heading bac! to home "ishi saw the

angry waves rising near sea beach and stri!ing

the roc!s ma!ing different sound but sounds

were seeming to be in a pattern which was

l ittle diff icult to understand by "ishi but he

could understand it . "ishi as!ed his sister

&uhani that did she hear that sea shore sound

patterns but she said a loud no as she was

already angry due to flight cancellation. "ishi

nodded her answer and he also ignored that

sound.

The ne(t

morning "ishi wo!e up at home in his bed. "ishi

understood that mom and dad had gone to boo!

tic!et for train or aero planes as they wanted to

get out of city as soon as possible. "ishi

3uic!ly went to bathroom to ta!e bath but there

he saw that something strange was stopping

the water to f low out of tap so "ishi fully

turned the tap on to see what was cho!ing the

tap but suddenly lot of water started coming

out of tap fooding the bathroom and drowning

"ishi. "ishi tried to swim in that flooded

bathroom to reach to the tap to turn off the

!nob but it seemed that water was stopping him

to reach near the tap. "ishi could not counter

the strong water currents anymore and ran out

of bathroom and fainted. In his dream he saw a

huge man made of water holding a trident and

having tai l of f ish instead of legs. The huge

man as!ed the small mermen made up of water

for report. One of the mermen said 69aster we

have found that due to the new invention

humans used for trac!ing tsunami they have got

the ear ly warnings and forecast about the

tsunami that we would use tsunami for

destroying them.C The huge man answered in

his heavy and proud voice.C ,o matter what

they do we shall get our revenge. "emember

how carelessly the humans polluted us this

proved that they were worse than monsters and

would be punished very strictly.C 1e also

announced that humans could save themselves

from him if they admitted their mista!e before

tsunami and begged for forgive. Then the huge

man pointed at "ishi and said Cyou are the

choosen one and you shall give our message to

the world before tsunami.C Just after that

"ishi5s dream started fading into dar!ness.

:hen "ishi wo!e

up he was lying in bathroom and his parents and

sister were seeing him in worr y. "ishi !new that

they would not believe him so he !ept his mouth

mum. "ishi too! a deep breath and stood up but

he was ama'ed to see the face of that huge

man in the bath tub he 3uic!ly called mom and

dad but everyone was scared as fro'en ice now

was coming out of every tap. The water man

loo!ed at "ishi and said CI came to you to tell

you this is not a dream you shall fulfi ll the

3uest I the god of sea

1is wor! became easy with the help of his

friend handu amdhenu "amchadu E "am. 1e

had to tell and e(plain them a lot about his

dream which was not a dream but an

instruction from the *od of &ea. 1e also had to

donate to them some of his precious games.

The ne(t thing was to f ind people who will

shoot the camera. 1e went in bus from mumbai

to pune alone as his parents had gone to search

shelter other than their old house. :hen "ishi

reached =une he secretly called his cousin and

two of his best friends who were very helpful.

"ishi as!ed them and told everything about the

3uest. "ishi was fascinated when his friends

told him that they also got the same dream but

the difference was that they had to follow and

help "ishi in his 3uest. They also said they

handu "am and other friends got the same

dream. handu "am had called "ishi;s cousin

"ota! to confirm his dream was true or not.

,ow "ishi understood why every child he ever

tal!ed believed him about that 3uest. ,ow "ishi

was the head and so he told his friends to

inform every child you !now and tell them to

buy spea!ers and install these at every noo!

and corner of all coastal cities. &oon children

all over western and %astern *hats got to !now

about the 3uest. "ishi now only had one day to

save India from ,eptune5s anger but ,eptune

had already attac!ed India.

The whole

India was nearly flooded and now "ishi had to

do one last thing and that was to inform people

about their mista!es but the 3uestion was how>

Then suddeny the doorbell rang and a postman

was standing in front of the door carrying big

and heavy bo(es. 2efore opening the door "ishi

as!ed the postman for whom have you brought

these bo(es. The postmen replied that those

bo(es are here for 9r. "ishi and were given by

millionaire "amanu#an;s child "oofan and many

other newschannel editors. "ishi opened the

bo(es and started reading letters. There were

many letters from editors which read C"ishi I

and my son got same vision about the sea god

so i #ust wanted to inform you that earlier we

have sued you for committing crime of hac!ing

computer database but now we have got the

reason why did you do that and now you have

our full support and believe you succeed. :e

had sent you few posters and we believe that

you would paste this everywhere in town and

also we had sent these to all your friends. The

great message would be telecasted by you from

the *ateway of India. *ood luc!C. That day

"ishi pasted all the posters which read - the

only way to protect yourseves from the attac!

of tsunami is to reach and assemble at *ateway

of India. It is our promise that all of you would

be saved from tsunami. "ishi #ust wished that

people come out of their homes and reach and

assemble at *ateway of India. Then suddenly a

voice appeared from nowhere and announced

also in water. 1e was already standing in water

up to his waist. "ishi5s dad announced that

night at dinner table which was also nearly

submerged in water 6Tomorrow is our last

opportunity to get out of 9umbai so tomorrow

rescue plane. This made "ishi5s heart sin! and

now "ishi had to f ind out a way by which he

could stay here.

The ne(t day

when "ishi wo!e up he was in a motor boat with

his family. "ishi had no time to thin! the plane

was a hovercraft thus could f loat on water.

:ithout even thin!ing "ishi #umped into water

and 3uic!ly swam toward the gateway of India.

It seemed that water currents were helping him

to reach his destination. inally "ishi reached

*ateway of India. 9any of his friends were

there with cameras ready to shoot. "ishi

3uic!ly swam to the stage and was ready to

start the speech he had learned yesterday but

after seeing so much audience he became

nervous and scared. 1e was about to run bac!

to the motor boat of his dad when from the far

sea he saw a huge giant wave rising up and up.

"ishi then thought that he only had few minutes

if he wanted people to be saved from tsunami

he had to do so.

"ishi came bac! to

the stage held the mi!e and said 61ave you ever

felt how carelessly we waste water. :ater is

our need. :ithout it we would die. :e always

study in our boo!s that water is precious and

we should save it but only G)BB practice this in

their lives. :e must reali'e our mista!es and

feel sorry for what we have done to water.

:henever we go to beach we do littering and

dump all wastes in the sea. If someone stops

you you start fighting and argue that that your

efforts alone cannot help cleaning water which

is totally wrong. 9y dear friends If we start

saving water others will also follow us. If we

want people to see a better future we have to

start saving :$T%" from right now.7 Thereafter

"ishi pointed his finger to the tsunami which

was nearly a mile away only from stri!ing the

shores and said 68ou must be thin!ing that the

tsunami is a natural disaster and people have

no mista!e but you5re wrong as this huge giant

wave is the anger of the sea *od. ,ow I thin!

that I have no need to tell you further that why

is he angry>7 Then "ishi loo!ed at people and

spo!e the word

clean water. $fter Byrs if again I saw the same

or worse condit ion of sea I wi ll give you no

second chance so you are given enough time7

Then suddenly tsunami vanished and so the

flood. &un again started shining and happiness

again came on the faces of people. $fter that

day "ishi was faci li tated and declared the

ambassador of water saving awareness

campaign in 9umbai.
