Documentary Film and Video Too Much Tape

Too much tape is an investigation into modern policing, posing questions and exploringdifferent perspectives on the G20 riots. Through In depth interviews, on location shooting,

and research into archive footage we were able to produce a film that challenges theviewer.

In this unit I assumed the role of Director and Editor, challenging me to push this productionin my intended direction as well as shape the final product into a film that people will find

    both interesting and thought provoking.

    Dissertation Production Make it Here

Currently in production, my dissertation project tells the docudrama story of a young critic moving toLondon to become a success, he records a series of video journals in a blog style, and the short film is

produced using cinema verit footage. However his equipment is stolen and he is left with nothing having to survive and succeed where most

would ordinarily fail.I believe online media to be the future of production and so I am keen to produce work than transcendsplatforms such as short film and viral video. This film is being produced in a free hand style that reflects

my creative style as a filmmaker.

    Short Film: Torn Apart

The connection between strangersis the idea I have based this shortfilm on, depicting two characterslinked by forces unbeknownst to

    them.As the story progresses, the

characters are stuck in a blackoutand I have developed the idea of

    slower shutter speed shots to

record their movements or trailsas they move, the final sequenceis following these trails as theystart to intertwine as the two

    strangers first meet.

    Animatronics A level Art project

During my studies at Sixth Form level I became interested in structure and form based around human actions, This smallproject explores the actions and mechanics behind movement within the human hand.

Mechanics and engineering are elements of design I find intriguing and I enjoy developing ideas based around these aspects.

    Potential Film Ideas & Sketches:

In the wake of a monumental tragedy I have scripted a short film accounting the story of a man whopredicts the coming events in the days leading up to the disaster but is shunned and ignored. Mistaken for

being homeless he manages to reach only a select few people; the lucky ones.

This idea follows on from the previous film, in a world that has been burnt and exposed to the sun, certainpeople have adapted to the sunlight and are able to enhance its abilities. One of these is the self-named

Phosphor, and it is his story I have begun to script.

Leading on from my A level Art & Design Studies of animatronics and the human form; I developed a filmproposal based around the idea of reaching into the afterlife, and seeing yourself through the eyes of those

    beyond.

This is the opening sequence to a film I have scripted that tells the story of a traveler moving between stars. Ibelieve this film could be cleverly used as a music video or developed along-side a soundtrack.
