This subject of Ayurveda helps with the preparation of medicines which are available abundantly in

our nature. Not only herbs, but minerals and metals can also be processed and converted into organic and

completely safe medicines.Herbo-mineral products are found to be veryeffective in the treatment. The

students are trained in preparing Ayurvedic medicines along with how and when to use them in the

patients. The medicines are prepared by using the herbs that are found profusely in the vast herbal garden

of the institute. Preparation of medicines for the admitted patients in the hospital is always done using

these fresh drugs which in turns give maximum results in the therapy.

The aim of this subject is to design and prepare newmedicine compositions which are very potent

consisting of herbal drugs, metals and minerals in lesser dosage without causing any other nuisance to the

patient. It deals with medicinal preparations to bring them into practice and also modify the preparations

based on the contemporary times and practice. The vast availability of traditional medicines is converted

into better and easy to consume forms by adopting modern techniques.

DEPARTMENTAL FEATURES :

Well-equipped laboratory containing various instruments, charts, Models, geologically identified

specimens.

Well maintained departmental library containing Books& Journals.

InhousePharmacy- Various types of Ayurvedic medicines are prepared in the pharmacy.

Research Laboratory- It is provided with various Modern Analytical Instruments and all research

practicals are performed here. The physico-chemical tests of the medicines prepared in our

pharmacy are done in the Research laboratory for the purpose of Quality control.

Preparation of SuvarnaprashaKalpa and active participation in the Suvarnaprashan camp.

Conduction of theory and practical classes under the Ayushman Bharat mission of Government of

India.
