Shirdi Sai Worship Centrecelebrated its 2nd

anniversary on 5th February2010. As usual the centreopened at 6.55 a.m. for the

morning Kakad Arti. Saidevotees and Tikoo familyoffered rose water & milk forthe morning abhisek. After

abhisek Baba wore beautifulwardhan (Cloths) offered bySai devotee Shri NeerajKumar and others from India.After Kakad Artirefreshments were served.Havan was performed by Mr.Tikoo & Pandit ShreedharPant within the SriV a d a p a t h i r aKaliamanTemple. AfterHavan Madhyan Arti wasconducted and all devotees

participated in singing thenoon arti with great devotion.Lunch was served after thearti. At 01.00pm the localdevotees Sriranga

Deshpandey, Ms. SuchiSriranga Deshpandey,Dwarka Malekar, MurlidharNakka & Sahil presented

bhajans. While they weresinging bhajans, the centrepriest with the help of thedevotees beautifullydecorated the hall with freshflowers. The temple waslooking very attractive. Babawore a turban decorated withpearls and gems, whichmade Him look like king ofkings. Everyone present wasamazed with Babasappearance and felt blessed.

At 06.30pm Dhoop Arti wasconducted. Bhajan singersMr Manoj Misra and his teamMr. Brijesh and Mr. Deepakwere invited from Delhi for

recitation of bhajans. Theypresented very soulfulbhajans. Ms. Malika Girishpresented a solo

Bharatnatyam dance withgreat devotion dedicated herevery action towards Baba.It was indeed a beautifulpiece of art performance,which everyone enjoyed.After the dance Manoj Misracontinued with the bhajans,Everyone was engrossed inhis bhajans. The centre wasfully packed with devotees.On the request of thedevotees present there, the

Shej Arti was extended by 30minutes as the devoteeswanted to continue with thebhajans a little more. Mr.Tikoo offered token of

appreciation to the guestsingers and also thanked thepriest and Mr. KuldeepSingh, Mr. Pratesh and all

those who had contributed tomake the event amemorable one. Alsopresent on that day waseditor of Shri Sai SumiranTimes, Ms Anju Tandon whowitnessed the whole dayevent and was muchdelighted with the centresprogramme. At 9.00 pmeveryone sang the Sheja artiwith great enthusiasm and

Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust toConstructShelters on Padayatra to Shirdi

Shri Sai Sansthan Trust,Shirdi has decided to createEight halt points for pilgrimstrudging to the Sai Baba

Temple in Nasik. Each year,the Temple sees at least 4-5lakh people coming here onfoot from various parts of theState. The Trust is creatingfacilities along the route tohelp the Pilgrims rest andrefresh themselves beforecontinuing their journey.

These Shelters, built at acost of Rs. 45 lakhs each,will be equipped with aSpacious Hall, Toilets andBathrooms and will be ableto accommodate at least a1000 people. The Trust haschosen spots along theroute, which are alreadyfavored by the pilgrims forstaying overnight. Two suchshelters are already underconstruction at Pandurli and

Sinner which are expectedto be inaugurated inMarch2010. Mr. JayantSasane, chairman of the Sai

Sansthan Trust said, Wetake pride in our Devoteeswho undertake thePadayatra and it is our dutyto take care of them. It is forthis we are creating thehalting places with all basicnecessities for the Saidevotees. Traditionally,Pilgrims on the Padayatrawhich takes 8-10 days,spent the nights in some ofthe villages along the way.The Villagers are said to bequite cooperative andwelcome the pilgrims withfood and shelter, thoughduring winter and monsoonpilgrims face a lot ofdifficulties on the way.

There are more than a 100Mandals in the city and in

Grant Road, said, Its agreat decision. For the last25 years we have beentaking at least a 100 peopleevery year on the ShirdiPadayatra, and have beenputting up in the villages. Onthe Pilgrimage we do notneed fancy luxuries, but theSansthan taking care of thedevotees is a welcomeinitiative. AgripadasPancham Prabhu, astaunch Sai devoteewelcomed the Sansthansmove, Devotees will nothave to bother about lookingfor a place to stay at night,thanks to the Trust. This

Sai Solved My Problem

Take A Step towards Sai Baba And See The ChangeFor last 2 years I am

staying in Singapore with myhusband and child. I used tocome to Singapore astourist quiet often, as myhusband is here. I too am

employed with the Govt. ofIndia as a Gazetted Officer.In 2008 when I came here itwas initially very difficult forme to adjust. l was so happywhen I came to know thatthere is a Sai Baba templein Singapore. I almoststarted going there everyThursday & Saturday,whenever possible. I was sohappy by doing so. Also, ondifferent occasions, I tookmy friends to the temple,and today I am happy thattoday they all adore SaiBaba and are His devotees.

Any how I want to sharethis information that I was

never a Sai Babas devotee.I remember when I was incollege and one of myneighbour used to come tomy mother to take her to Saitemple, Lodhi Road, NewDelhi. I always revolted forgoing there. But somehow Istill used to listen from myfriends the miracles of SaiBaba. Like this yearspassed and I completed myprofessional degree course.I met my husband (1995)when I was working at seniorpost in a Pvt. Company. Wegot married with lot ofdifficulties. After marriage(1999) also we had manyfinancial problems, also wehad no support from ourparents. During this phaseonly I came to know that myhusband and his family is aSai devotee. His nieces lifewas saved by one of Babasmiracle. He used to say thatone day we will go to ShirdiSai Temple, but somehow itnever materialized. It wasthe year 2002 and our lifewas still going through atough time. In 2001 we hadour daughter Prajakta (whois a Sai devotee from herchildhood). Sometimes Iused to think whether bymarrying of my own choice,

did I do something wrong, asour financial sufferingbecame worse. I wanted ahouse of my own. I was fedup of changing locations.One day a person named Mr.

Gopal Krishnan, came to ourhouse for givingD e e p a v a l igreetings in2002. Somehowhe saw onephotograph of SaiBaba on our wall.He was a greatdevotee of SaiBaba. He told usso manymiracles of Baba,which I hardlybelieved. I used to thinkwhether this can happen orthese are all cooked upstories. He motivated us to goto Shirdi and also made all the

arrangements of boardingand lodging himself. He saidthat once you go to Shirdi allyour problems will startvanishing, because Babanever sends back any of hisdevotees empty handed. Andhe also said that your life willnot remain the same aftercoming from there, you willdefinitely see some changes.I was ready to go Shirdi onlyto test his wordings. My tripwas full of complications anddifficulties and at one time itwas about to be cancelled.Somehow, we went to Shirdiin mid of October 2002. Andcan you believe that myhusband presented a houseto me as my birthday gift inNovember 2002. In todaysworld where people dont lendmoney to their own bloodrelations, we got financialsupport from our friends viz.Sandeep and Nidhi. Theycame as a media of Sai andhelped us at the right time.From that day my faithdeveloped in Baba and Ialways go at least once ayear to Shirdi. Today becauseof Babas blessings we havemore than what weexpected. Also, we never hadto turn back and think aboutour bad times.

In another incident in theyear November 2007, wecame to Singapore on aRelocation programme, asmy husband wastransferred here. He wanted

me to settle down here withhim byresigning fromthe Govt. job. Itwas verydifficult for meto come hereimmed ia te l yand settle downas myd a u g h t e r sstudies were inmid term and

being a Govt.employee, my majorproblem was getting NOCfrom the Govt. One of myboss was not ready to spareme. She always used to

reject my application. WhenI came here in 2007, in therelocation team, there wasa lady named Ms. Sharm (aSingaporean) whose dutywas to show us all theschools and places inSingapore. In the end of thefirst day trip she found meworried. She asked thereason and I said the sameabout my child and job. Nextday, I was surprised whenearly morning she gave meShri Sai Satcharitra alongwith a book size photographof Sai Baba. She asked meto finish the book in 7 daysand get rid of the problems.

Although, I myself hadpurchased one in 2002, butI never read or forgot toread. I went back to Delhi,but till end of January Icouldnt read it and neithermy problem was solved. Itried my best in Feb. 2008and finished it within 7 days.By March 2008, I got theNOC from my office and alsoPrajakta got two years breakfrom her school, i.e. for mewithout resigning andwithout striking off mydaughters name from herschool. Till date I am on paidleave as well as my daughteris simultaneously enrolled in

her school in Delhi. Todaymy friends feel jealous of meas they think I am overblessed child of Baba. Theyalways say that if Seema willask anything she will get.

Today I also feel that Babais with me always. He seesmy patience and willdefinitely come to help me inthe end. We still worshipother Gods but we havetaken Baba as a Guru, whoguides us in every problem.As a human being I cannever expect that I will haveno problems, but I am nowconfident that Baba is thereto guide in my good and badtimes. Now I haveexperienced all the 11Vachans of Sai Baba. I didfasting for one yearcontinuously (i.e taking foodone time and reading Vrat

Hisboss was mentallyharassing him.So he was tryingfor other job andattended interviewat Credit SwissCompany, Pune.But there was nopositive responsefor 15 days.When he was inthe office he justremembered SaiBaba and requested Babathat his interview should besuccessful. Within a minutehe got a call for telephonicinterview from Singaporeconsultants that whether hewould be interested forCredit Swiss Company atSingapore. He agreed andthere were around 8 roundsof telephonic interviews andwith the grace of Baba hewas selected. Within twomonths he joined in thiscompany in Singapore.Before coming to Singaporewe planned to visit Shirdi.But there was time shortageand railway ticket was not

available immediately. Butdue to Sai Babas graceeverything went on well and

we took mysister alongwith us toShirdi. Within2 months hermarriage wasfixed and nowby Sai Babasblessings sheis married andwell settled inDelhi. After 1/2

year in Singapore myhusband got promotion in hiscompany, his salary washiked on Thursday. EveryThursday we visit Sai Babatemple. Now I have got manyfriends in temple by Babasgrace. We do bhajans andattend satsang once in aweek, which gives memental peace. I do SaiSaisatcharita parayanwhenever I am worried or if Ihave any doubt. Whenever IStart reading Shri SaiSatcharita, I do get solutionto my problems on thatparticular page.Savithaprakash, Singapore
