What is a Licensed PTP Link?

“A Licensed PTP link is a communications system that uses a beam of radio waves in a designated frequency to transmit voice, date & video between two fixed locations ”
• Licensed links are regulated by Ofcom to ensure there is no Interference• PTP Links:-
• Microwave Radio 6GHz – 38GHz • Channels sizes available in the U.K.:-• 3.5MHz, 7MHz, 14MHz, 28MHz, 40MHz & 56MHz Channels
• Ofcom Fee ranges from £ 250 - £ 2k per year• Distances from 70m to 70Km+• All Licensed Links require LoS• All capacities are Full Duplex • Antenna Size 30cm, 60cm, 90cm, 1.2m & 1.8m• Links can be 1+0, 1+1, 2+0 or 2+2 configuration
• Millimeter Wave Radio – 70GHz-80GHz• Channel sizes available in the U.K.:-
• 2GHz Spectrum • Ofcom Fee £ 50 per year
