    Prompt quality care is the key to patientsatisfaction. Keeping on schedule requirescarefully planning appointments, accuratelyestimating visit durations, and quicklyreacting to the changes that inevitablyoccur.

    Schedules for staff, patients, and otherresources can be accessed from anyLANTIS workstation to review notes andpatient status information in real time.Wave scheduling automates the schedulingof multiple appointments in virtuallyany pattern.     Acquiring setup photographs, figures,and diagrams is easy to do in the LANTISsoftware. Digital images can be acquiredin real time and stored for import.When imported, each diagram or photois associated with a patient, prescriptionsite, or field. LANTIS can also displaysetup photos. This setup and positioninginformation is simultaneously displayedon the operators console and insidethe treatment room using the LANTISTreatment Room Extension option.This display is an indispensable aid inreproducing the treatment setup.

    The systems quick-start feature allowsprinting of all the bar codes required fora newly registered patient. For instance,print a patient selection bar code thatcan be applied to the patients ID card,chart, and film jacket. Patients can queuethemselves upon arrival by simply swipinga bar-coded card through a scanner.Swipe the card as the patient arrives inother locations, and the patient queueis updated with current information. Thepatient queue can be accessed from anyworkstation for a real-time display of thepatient location in the clinic.

    The LANTIS Transcriber module takes anydepartment one step closer to becomingpaperless by using Microsoft Wordprocessing software. Together with thissoftware, patient documentation ismanaged integrally within the EMR.From Consultations and History andPhysical to On Treatment Notes andFollow Up, all patient documents canbe stored in LANTIS.

    Create multiple templates for eachdocument type and merge information,such as Patient ID number, ReferringPhysician, Diagnosis, etc., that is storedin LANTIS. When a template is assignedto a patient, the appropriate informationfrom LANTIS is automatically enteredinto the document.

    Use the on-site feature of LANTISTranscriber to directly transcribedocuments into the LANTIS application.Or use a remote transcription serviceby installing the off-site feature onthe transcriptionist workstation.

    Transcriber

    Manage transcription status in the documents window.

    Documents transcribed remotely areeasily batched and exported to LANTISfor import using the document importfeature. When these documents areimported, they are automatically savedas part of the patients EMR with a statusof Pending.

    Changing the status of each document iseasy as it flows through the department,with choices such as Dictation Requiredor Transcription Required to Pendingor Approved. Transcription edit andapproval processes are controlled by thesecurity privileges of the logged-in user.

    Assessment of patient status before,during, and after treatment is vital forassuring optimal patient care and forrefining clinical pathways. Use the LANTISClinical Assessments option to assignquantitative or standardized values tokey assessment indicators, which canthen be used for gauging patient statusand reporting outcomes.

    Patient information and assessments areorganized in a series of electronic formsthat can be customized. Everything fromvital sign measurements to pain ratings,once recorded in the system, are madeinstantly available for viewing andcomparison at any workstation.     When importing a plan, all treatment fields and corresponding parameterscan be accessed and modified from one screen.

    The LANTIS RTP Link/DICOM RT optionallows the EMR to be configured tocommunicate with treatment planningand beam shaping programs. The LANTISRTP Link/DICOM RT option automatesand streamlines the flow of informationbetween planning, simulation, andtreatment. The interface retrievespatient treatment planning dataexported by the treatment planningsystem and populates the LANTISdatabase with field setup and dosimetryinformation.

    Entering the data required for advancedtreatment techniques using multileafcollimators and automatic fieldsequencing (SIMTEC Delivery System)are made both efficient and practicalwith the LANTIS RTP Link/DICOM RToption.

    The interface is equipped to handlethe import of admission, discharge,and transfer (ADT) messages, so thatthe patients status is always keptcurrent in LANTIS.

    Patient demographics are imported from the HIS via the ADTImport Gateway.

    The Lab Result Import option receives and stores laboratoryresults in Clinical Assessments.

    Procedure codes captured and storedusing the LANTIS Commander, Supervisor,or Extended Bar Codes option can beexported to HIS or billing systems usingthe LANTIS Gateway Advanced HL-7option. Gateway Advanced HL-7 can beconfigured to meet the requirementsof different countries for information to beavailable for reimbursement.     LANTIS MDE is specifically designedfor clinics composed of two or moredepartments that want to share a commonpatient database, yet manage resourcesand administrative functions separately.

    The LANTIS MDE module provides amechanism for oncology service providersto effectively subdivide into multipleworkgroups while maintaining centralizedcontrol over certain administrative andclinical functions. The ability to managepatient data from a central location helpsoptimize resources, standardize patternsof care, and coordinate communicationthroughout the network.

    The LANTIS MDE option provides theability to selectively assign staff, resources,activities, and processes to specificworkgroups. The system limits user accessto only those items that are assignedto the users workgroup, yet preserves
