AMR Gold Exploration Licences
Summary
3
• AMRG have spent ~US$14mm carrying out exploration and evaluation programmes
over their 3 Exclusive Exploration Licences in the Loko Hills area of Bombali District
since the granting of the licences in 2011.
• In the initial 4 years using a combination of geological mapping, prospecting, structural
mapping, stream sediment and soil samples, geophysical surveying, trenching/pitting
and drilling AMRG identified 5 priority gold targets and 3 coltan, cassiterite, gold
targets.
• Detailed bulk sampling in the Ranongo has identified an initial 20,000 oz “JORC”
compliant eluvial gold resource open to the south for 8km as well as the potential for
gold in the underlying bedrock source rock.
• AMRG have also identified 3 priority coltan, cassiterite, gold targets. Over one of the
targets in the Wilkinson Hill area detailed trenching and pitting have defined a maiden
500 tonne resource.
• AMRG have also identified a very prospective REE target as well as an attractive
alluvial/kimberlite diamond

Summary continued
• AMRG worked through the entire period of the ebola crisis and made
significant contributions to the containment and treatment of quarantined
people.
• The Wilkinson Hill Mining Company was established and were granted a 1
km2 Small Scale Mining Licence in January 2016 over an area close to the
village of Kathanta. To date bulk sampling and pilot scale mining have been
undertaken on the ~500 tonne resource.
• The Wilkinson Hill Mining Company have been granted a coltan buying
licence.
• First exports of coltan by the company will be made in Feburary 2016.
• The 2011 Exploration Licence renewals have now been granted giving
AMRG exclusive rights over a reduced 488 km2 area to continue it’s
evaluation programmes.
• AMRG started in 2011 with 15 expatriates – due to training and knowledge
transfer the company has only 1 expatriate in it’s in- country management
team.

Feed from secondary jig flows to Knelson
centrifugal HM concentrator. Ultra fines flow
from Knelson into a sluice box to optimise
capture of heavy minerals.
Knelson is emptied approx. every four hours
with HMC taken to shaking tables for
separation of coltan, gold and cassiterite.

Co-operative artisanal mining
• AMRG have taken the view that one way to reduce the amount of illegal artisanal mining that is
supported by irresponsible entrepreneurs and brings no community benefit as well as causing
widespread and permanent environmental damage is by initiating a system of cooperative
artisanal mining (CAMS).
• CAMS will provide sustainable employment/ incomes – support local community projects and
ensure mined areas are re-habilitated to provide areas for agriculture and better water
management as well as providing a source of coltan for AMRG to market to ensure the local
miners receive a fair deal.
11
Cooperative Artisanal Mining
AMRG have initiated the setting up of 2 Artisanal Mining Cooperatives, one
SEMCO in the Sella Limba Chiefdom and SALCOM in the Sanda Loko Chiefdom
In the SEMCO cooperative there are 2 groups, Kamasortha and Katheri and in the
SALCOM cooperative there are also 2 groups, Siria and Togbuhun
AMRG has supplied picks, shovels, head pans, jigs/sluices and water pumps to
the cooperatives and have given them training in H&S and efficient mining /
processing techniques.
In total the cooperatives employ around 290 persons and at present the target is,
within a 3 month period which is supported financially by AMRG, that the
cooperatives should be self sustaining.
All coltan produced by the cooperatives is weighed and recorded on a daily basis
and stored in an AMRG secure facility. All production is reported to the NMA.
AMR Gold Community and Environment Vision and Values
• AMR Gold’s aim is to empower the communities, in particular the youth
and female sectors, to secure an appropriate standard of living through
community based sustainable development initiatives working in
partnerships with local stakeholders in the community, government and
both international and national agencies.
• AMR Gold’s approach is to provide capacity building and funding
support to the Chiefdom Development Committees for sustainable
development initiatives. These initiatives should be identified by the
Committee and be inline with the Sierra Leone Strategic Development
Plan (Agenda for Change) and the Millennium Development Goals.
From August 2011 to date AMR Gold have spent US$662,000
on Community and Environment Projects
13
Environment and Community Projects
• Community development is a key factor in AMR Gold’s strategic policy.
• Maintaining strong links and close relationships with the leaders and members of local
communities is a key factor of AMR Gold operations.
• All community projects are selected in consultation with community leaders after full analysis of
community needs.
