Tjalling Wiarda is the General Manager of GNBCC, where he started working in February of 2017. Prior to that, he was in Ghana between 2001-2010, where he was involved in the set-up of a num-ber of new companies including Explainer DC and SOFT Internet Solutions. Tjalling was also active in GHANECC (before GNBCC) as project manager, as well as Board Member. From 2006 until 2010 he was working in the shea industry for Loders Croklaan (now Bunge Loders Croklaan). Tjalling has an MBA from the Henley School of Management and a MA in History from the University of Antwerp.

Binta Jalloh is a Sierra Leonean who moved to The Netherlands in July 1990. During her stay in the Netherlands, she worked in sales positions at Kyocera Document Solutions for 13 years. With the experience she acquired she saw how she could impact her country and Africa as a whole. In 2012 she returned home and established her dream venture “Bintex Inc. Ltd”. Specialized in data processing, order management, customer service and sales, She has a large business network in both The Netherlands and Sierra Leone.

Theo Dennis is a Liberian national with international business experience in both Liberia and the US. His areas of expertise include financial management, strategy and business development. He is founder and president of the Agro-Industrial & Investment Development Corporation (AIDCORP), a strategic business advisory firm. He gained ample experience in providing guidance and support to foreign firms, identifying opportunities, and navigating the business terrain. His work for foreign firms included Dutch companies, such as Holland Shipyards, Aurora Netherlands B.V. and Damen Shipyards.

Esther Kamara was born in the Netherlands to a Dutch mother and a Sierra Leonean father. She holds a BA in Media Studies from the University of Amsterdam (2010-2013), speaks four languages fluently and runs her own creative writing business. In 2016 she became one of the organisers of the yearly Freetown Music Festival and relocated to Freetown. Esther has excellent knowledge of both the Dutch and the Sierra Leonean culture and has always moved freely within the two worlds. She specialises in writing, research, social media marketing, event management and creative solutions.

Andrew Anderson is a Private Sector Development Specialist with over 12 years of experience & expertise in Grant Management, SME Development, Project Management and Investment Marketing/ Consultancy. He currently heads the Project Implementation Unit at the National Investment Commission of Liberia and manages several project portfolios. As a development practitioner, Mr. Anderson has adequately represented the Commission, and has provided expert advice to the offices of the Chairman and Executive Director. Accordingly, he worked on many projects and policy initiatives across the Commission including the Special Economic Zone Act, the Local Content Policy, PPP Policy and the development of a Private Sector Strategy for Liberia.

Sally Sulaiman-Gassama started her work with the Sierra Leone Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SLIEPA). At SLIEPA she was able to build a vast experience in investment promotion, trade facilitation and business development. She has travelled extensively to several countries for road shows and international fora and conferences for investment.

Rosalind Boschloo, PSD Coach, RVO Rosalind Boschloo works as a Private Sector Development (PSD) Coach at the Netherlands Enter-prise Agency (RVO). She supports the Netherlands Embassies for Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana and Tanzania in their efforts to stimulate private sector development (PSD). To do this, she connects with many public and private partners and develops projects that contribute to private sector de-velopment. Rosalind holds a Master of Science from Delft University of Technology, but in her work she develops projects in many different areas. Examples for Sierra Leone and Liberia include this Business Event as well as a poultry sector project and a customs and logistics project that will also be presented during this day.
