SEEING UNDER THE BRIDGES

The tour is inspired by 250 years of

history, the conflicts and contrasts which

take place around the beautiful canals

of Copenhagen. In the duration of 45

minutes and under 14 bridges Copen-

hagen is portrayed as a city at war, a

city struck by trade conflicts and as a

city in rapid transition from a medieval

superpower to a modern metropolis –

for instance the transition of Christiania

from a military barrack to an auto-

nomous free tand English.

stops along the route* or you can enjoy

the tour from start to finish.

udsigt til Københavns skyline.

Visit the 300-year-old Trekroner Fortress

– a small island at the entry to the har-

bour. In 1801, Peter Willemoes defended

the city from Lord Nelson in the famous

Battle of Copenhagen with 24 cannons.

The island is a popular excursion spot

filled with secrets, culture, nature and a

free historic exhibition in the casemates.

It also has a cosy lunch café.

At Halvandet, on the edge of Refshaleøen,

you can experience a wonderful oasis,

filled with industrial charm at the res-

taurant and beach bar, surrounded by

sunbeds and sports activities and with

a magnificent view of the Copenhagen

skyline.

The boat tour in itself is a wonderful

experience. You can choose to stay on

the boat and enjoy the 1 hr roundtrip.
