Within the next 30-60 days, we will also be rolling out our new web site, offering all the interesting information about our chapter...our history, organization, scheduled events, and most importantly, our goals for the future. We are taking our chapter to the top, and you are going to be a part of it. Sigma Chi is attracting more and more attention among our universities and colleges, with its reputation for developing young men into leaders and successful graduates. Not surprisingly, inquiries from many schools are being received at our headquarters regarding establishing new chapters. Of course, our membership already dwarfs all other Fraternities. ACTIVE CHAPTER REPORTSBILL GRIMM, BK | BEN KIMBRO, DO | SHEL DETRICK, GD • BETA KAPPA:

Below are various successes and improvements we made in the Fall semester and continue to make leading in to the spring semester. We are excited for the future!

- OU Cousins Registration: • We had 56 undergraduate members join OU cousins. Last year, there was 1 undergraduate member that was a part of

the OU cousins organization. We believe it is important to welcome and make the United States feel like home to our international students.

• Currently: Sigma Chi and Delta Delta Delta are working on an OU Cousins (partial) lock in at Hey Day in Moore, Oklahoma. Sigma Chi and Tri Delta exec have already met/emailed with Quy Nguyen and have began talks to make this event a reality.

- Derby Days Brunch: • Raised over $8,000 during our brunch, held in the Molly Shi Ballroom in the Oklahoma Memorial Union. • Last year in all of Derby Days there was $5,000 raised. • Our undergraduate members already began working on Derby Days 2016’s programming and schedule. It is currently

scheduled for early April and we have a fundraising goal of $20,000.

• DELTA OMEGA: Due to the small amount of interest in the greek societies we had no pledge class this semester. Derby Days will not be held this spring, but instead it will be held next fall. The new pledge training program was a big success last semester. A 2016-2017 Sweetheart has been chosen, Ms. Courtney McKeon of Garland, TX. She is a sophomore member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and is the TU Women’s Soccer goalkeeper. The election was held in the beginning of April, the results are as follows: Counsul: Wyatt Evans; Pro Consul: Brian On; Annotator: Kevin Schilling; Quaestor: Richard Song; Magister: Michael Collett; Risk Manager: Dennan Wheeler; Tribune: Matt Webber; Chapter Editor: Spencer Hartwig; Kustos: Dakota Baldridge; Brother-at-Large: Nabeel Hefzi

• GAMMA DELTA: The Gamma Delta Chapter of Sigma Chi has made strong advancements toward reclaiming its heritage of a winning tradition at Oklahoma State. First and foremost, the chapter recently initiated a new pledge class comprising of 45 members into the fraternity and plans to initiate 5 more in the coming month. Strong guidance from older brothers has instilled in these pledge classes a love for the fraternity that is healthy and poses to set a solid foundation for pledge classes to come. The Chapter, also, reintroduced the sweetheart tradition this month, naming Jordan Wiley—an exceptionally qualified and capable candidate—as the first sweetheart in recent years. Efforts to extend the Chapter’s awareness of its strong alumni presence continue to materialize through the Alumni Connection program, and the chapter is currently preparing to put on another successful Derby Days. Let me know of any edits or additions you wish to make...

Horizons is a leadership development experience for undergraduate Sigma Chis who wish to improve their understanding of leadership as it relates to personal development, group dynamics, and intentional efforts to make positive change in the world. The program is offered at no cost to the participants funded by the Sigma Chi Foundation.

The Horizons program is held in an ideal setting for outdoor adventure, interactive learning, and inspired reflection. Participants begin their experiences through a series of reflective and thought-provoking questions in the application process, continue learning through pre-session readings, and then immerse themselves in whole-brain learning experience that engages their minds and bodies onsite in Snowbird, Utah. Finally,

All Oklahoma chapters will have at least one undergraduate attending because of your generous donations to the Bell Challenge. It is one of the benefits of your chapters reaching the $10,000 goal each year.

SOCIAL CHAIRMAN REPORTRICK GUILD, GD, 80’

I appreciate the opportunity to be your Social Chairman this year. It has been exciting to see our chapter attendance and membership grow so much over the past 12 months!

• CHRISTMAS PARTY Our Christmas Party was a lot of fun, with an excellent band and a beautiful White Cross ice sculpture. I will be contacting you for your thoughts on a new venue for the event next year. Our goal is to make it a bit more upscale.

• SWEETHEART PARTY Our Sweetheart Party at the Summit Club in February had an exceptional crowd of over 70 people. Everyone enjoyed honoring their sweethearts by singing them the Sweetheart of Sigma Chi and giving them all white roses.

• SIGMA CHI HAPPY HOUR Our monthly Sigma Chi Happy Hours have been very well attended. They are on the 2nd Thursday of every month at Zanmai Sushi at 14th and Peoria. The view of downtown Tulsa from the bar area is spectacular! See you at the next one!

• FRIDAY LUNCHES Our Friday lunches at the Summit Club have grown from an average of six, to a point where we have maxed out the seating in the River Room and will probably have to change to larger room. The Honest John Pot is getting larger too! Come to our next lunch to share some brotherhood and win some money!
