Experience ADVANCED PROPULSION CONCEPTS LAB (PROF. VENKAT RAMAN) - RESEARCH ASSISTANT SPRING 2019 - PRESENT

I used Matlab, OpenFOAM, and Fortran codes to simulate and investigate the behavior of rotating detonation engines using both local machines and remote supercomputing resources (ORNL - Summit). I also updated chemistry mechanisms in legacy Fortran codes (Chemkin to Cantera), accelerated existing codes with CUDA GPU and MPI routines, and patched software version compatibility and compilation issues (Fortran and C++).

WIND TUNNEL VALIDATION OF VORTEX GENERATOR DRAG REDUCTION - AEROSPACE 405 SPRING 2018

I led a team of undergraduates researching whether commercially available vortex generators reduced the total drag on a modern sedan. I used CFD modeling, wind tunnel testing, and full scale validation to determine the effectiveness of these devices and provide a recommendation on their use in a comprehensive report.

DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF A BUSINESS JET - AEROSPACE 481 FALL 2017

I led my senior design team in the design and analysis of a business jet. I used Matlab, AVL, SolidWorks, optimization, and numerical methods to design a business aircraft that fit a specified mission profile. We developed and refined a conceptual design to minimize fuel burn while meeting all FAR requirements.
