Call for ProposalsThe Central Region has a rich history of providing training and development opportunities to refine the gifts and talents of sorority members. Each year the regional conference presents members with development opportunities in leadership and also extends knowledge opportunities pertaining to our sorority operations through workshops and educational sessions. The sisterhood consists of an array of expertise and experience in its membership and seeks to utilize those gifts by providing a variety of workshops and educational sessions for members. This year we will offer three development tracks: Gold-Professional, Royal-Leadership, and White-Membership.
We are currently seeking dynamic and engaging presenters to provide innovative and interactive workshops with topics that include, but are not limited to:
Gold - Professional Development Track • Leadership skills • Managing priorities • Leading with authority • Dealing with difficult people
Royal - Leadership Development Track • Time management • Communication skills • Project management • Handling stress
White - Membership Development Track • Branding/Marketing/social media • Protocol training • Undergraduate training • Membership training
NOTE: All presenters for Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Central Region serve on a contributing basis and are required to register for the conference. Presenters will not be reimbursed for lodging, travel, audio-visual equipment, or conference registration.
All tracks will be 45 minutes in length with a required presentation of at least 30 minutes with 15 minutes for questions and answers. Handouts are encouraged, as appropriate.
All submissions will be evaluated for previous experience, level of interactivity, and relevance to the listed topic. Each presenter should strive to present information that targets professional women, provides strategies, techniques and solutions, and entertains, informs and inspires.
Proposal Timeline Submission process opens January 20, 2015 Submission process closes February 20, 2015 Notification of acceptance/regrets March 06, 2015 Conference presentation schedule provided March 13, 2015
Proposals from prospective presenters are due no later than February 20, 2015.
Please be sure to submit the following included forms: 1. Presenter Application 2. Brief workshop description (50 words) suitable for the conference brochure 3. One paragraph biography (for each presenter)
