*Gathering Song: O Worship the King Red #2 v.1
O worship the King, all glorious above,
O gratefully sing his power and his love;
our Shield and Defender, the Ancient of Days,
pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise.
*Salutation and Call to Worship:
Welcome to worship, on the day of victory and rededication!
May God in Jesus Christ be lifted up!
The Lord is our rock, our fortress and delivery!
He is our shield, and our stronghold!
Everyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the Christ
Is born of God. This is how we know that we love God’s Children.
By loving God and carrying out His commands!
May we all learn more about our Lord this Year
And serve Him more and more every day.
Let us worship God!
*Hymns: O Worship the King Red #2 v.2-4
May the Lord be with you!
And also with you!
*Let us pray the unison prayer of thanksgiving.
Unison Prayer of Thanksgiving: We give You thanks, O God, for being
our rock and fortress. We thank you for our children, and the
moments we can teach them about You and Your grace. Show
us in the unfolding of this day how to be more faithful, to love
one another more, and to honor You in all things. Thank you
for the victory that has overcome the world, faith in our Lord
Jesus Christ. Show us how to love You with all our mind, heart,
and soul, and our neighbor as ourselves. As we worship, we
lift up the ministry of education, and pray for Sunday School,
Bible Studies, Youth Ministry, Worship, and all times we may
learn of You and Your word. In Jesus’ name, we pray.

This Week’s Announcements Rally Day – Today is Rally Day 2017. As we begin Sunday School again, we thank our teachers, look forward to blessings of present and future students, and are in prayer for God’s teaching us all of salvation, mission, and spiritual growth. Breakfast happens today at 9:30 am with a Sunday School opening at 10:15. Thanks to the deacons for a delicious breakfast! Many activities are outside today, as we celebrate God’s presence among us. Take the time to watch or play a game, or a moment to encourage. Thanks to Ann Egloff for bringing the pony to add to the festivities. Musical Performance – Tonight, Randall Plut will be performing a variety of music including medley of Disney Movie tunes. This will be an extraordinary experience. Come out to First Baptist Church tonight at 7pm and enjoy this great performance! Choir- Come out and join us, we meet each Wednesday at 7:30 pm. The Case for Christ—Women’s Bible Study - started this past Thursday. We are studying Lee Strobel’s bestselling book. This book delves into the reliability of the Bible and proves that Christ is indeed exactly who He claims to be. Karen Henderson and Wendy Daniel are coordinating this study. Please join us for this powerful study and enjoy fellowship and spiritual growth. We welcome you all! We meet each Thursday at 10:30am. The Ladies’ Circle will meet this Tuesday, September 12 at 10:30 AM in the Philathea Room. Our studies this year will be taken from the book “Attitude Is Your Paintbrush, It colors every Situation” by James W. Moore. We will cover such subjects as, The Attitude of Gratitude, The Attitude of Compassion, and many other aspects that make up our lives. Eloise Wilder will be the leader. All ladies are encouraged to attend for a time of “study and fellowship”.
Bible Reading Changed- Our group read-through of God’s word this year finished up yesterday. Today’s sermon is from day 1 of week 52. God blesses all who come to his word. It’s hard to believe it has already been a year. Find other ways to keep in the word this year, from daily devotionals to daily bible reading on your own. It is the food of the Christian. We cannot live or grow without it!
