Silicone Carving Implant to be used as an accessory during reconstruction of the femalebreast. Use of this silicone pre-form minimizes the need for harvesting additional tissuesfrom the patient (such as cartilage and darker tissue) to construct a visually acceptablereplacement nipple. The implant should be placed under the skin and above the breastimplant. The s'tin should be draped over the implant to conform to the shape of the"nipple". Cosmetic tattooing should be used to mimic the darker tissue of the normalnipple-areola complex. This should allow very close color matching to the oppositenipple-areola complex in the case of a unilateral mastectomy as well as the patients skintone. The texture of the implant will hold the implant in place. The surgeon may requestsuture tabs for a "belt and suspender" approach should he/she feel it necessary. Availablesizes are noted above and custom sizes available upon request
