Machine delivery When the machine is delivered, please check immediately that all materials match the delivery documents and that the machine has not been damaged during transport. If so, ask your shipping agent to assess the extent of the damage and inform our customer care service at once. Prompt and appropriate action is the only way to obtain the missing parts and to be able to claim damages.

General Considerations This scrubbing machine, thanks to the mechanical abrasive action of the two contra-rotating brushes and to the chemical properties of a water-detergent solution, can clean any type of floor and, while moving forward, also collect the dirt that has been removed and the detergent solution that has not been absorbed by the floor. The machine should be used exclusively for this purpose. Even the best machine can operate accurately and effectively only when properly used and maintained in a perfect state. So please read this instruction booklet thoroughly and read it again whenever you encounter any difficulty in using the machine. If necessary, do not forget that our customer care service, in conjunction with our dealers, is always available for any advice or direct action.

OPERATION CONTROL

NOT ENOUGH WATER ON THE BRUSHES 1. Make sure the main switch and the solenoid valve are on (fig.22) 2. Make sure the tap is open (fig.15) 3. Make sure there is water in the solution tank

MACHINE DOES NOT CLEAN EFFECTIVELY

1. Check for brush wear and, if necessary, replace it (the brush should be replaced as the bristles are about 15 mm long). To replace the brush see under “BRUSH RELEASE” (fig.35) and “BRUSH FITTING” (fig.17).

2. Use another type of brush and not the standard one. For cleaning tasks on floors with stubborn dirt, special brushes are recommended, which can be supplied on request according to individual requirements (see under “BRUSH CHOICE AND USE”).

SQUEEGEE DOES NOT DRY PERFECTLY

1. Make sure the squeegee rubber bars are clean 2. Make sure the suction hose is properly inserted in the recovery tank 3. Disassemble the suction unit and clean it (fig.29-30-31) 4. Replace the rubber bars when worn out (fig.33-34) 5. Make sure the suction motor switch is on (fig.22) 6. Check for proper adjustment of the little central wheel (fig.14)

TOO MUCH FOAM FORMATION

Make sure that low-foam detergent has been used. If necessary, add a minimal quantity of antifoaming agent into the recovery tank. Keep in mind that there is more foam formation when the floor is not very dirty. In this event, use a more diluted detergent solution.

19

Page 20: SIMBOLOGIA USATA SULLA MACCHINA zuigmachines/Minny 17/Handleiding... · do not use the machine before reading use instructions attention! ne pas utiliser la machine sans lire les

BRUSH CHOICE AND USE POLYPROYLENE BRUSH (PPL) It is used on every type of floor and it has good wear and hot water resistance (not exceeding 60 degrees C). PPL is not hygroscopic so that it preserves its features even when working on wet surfaces. BRISTLE THICKNESS The thicker bristles are more rigid and so they are suitable for smooth floors with narrow joints. On uneven floors, irregular surfaces or with deep joints, softer bristles are recommended which penetrate more easily in depth. It should be remembered that, when the brush bristles wear out, that is as they are too short, they become stiff and cannot penetrate nor clean in depth any longer also due to the fact that, as is the case with bristles that are too thick, the brush tends to bounce. PAD HOLDER The pad holder is recommended for cleaning polished surfaces. It is fitted with several anchor-shaped tips thanks to which it holds and drag the abrasive pad during cleaning.
