BeefResearch.caisakeytoolinBCRC’slong-termstrategytoimprovetechnologytransferandknowledgedisseminationwithintheCanadianbeefcattleindustry.Thestrategy’smandateistoenableindustryuptakeofresearch-supportedinnovationsbysupportinganddeliveringarangeofbestpracticetechnologytransfermechanisms.TheinitiativeispartofAgricultureandAgri-FoodCanada’sBeefCattleIndustryScienceCluster.

BeefResearch.cawillcontinuetodevelopasacomprehensiveresourceforbeefresearchinformation.TheBCRCisfocusedondevelopingtargeteddecisiontoolsandotherresourcesforproducersinterestedinmodifyingtheirproductionpractices,andforresearchersandotherextensiongroupstosupporttheirtechnologytransferandknowledgedisseminationefforts.Currently,thewebsitefeaturesresearchprojectresultsfromstudiesthatwerefundedbytheBCRC.Intime,factsheetsonanyprojectrelatedtobeeforbeefcattlewillbeposted,regardlessofthefunder.

“Weencouragepeopletosharetheirfeedbackwithusandcommentontheblogarticlessothatweknowwhatkindsofinformationpeoplearelookingfor,”saidBowman.“Astimegoesonandthewebsiteevolves,we’llbeabletodeliverthetypesofinformationpeoplewantintheformattheywantitsotheyhavetheknowledgetodowhat’sbestfortheiroperation.”
