Simple Doll Boots  These quick boots are perfect to fit any 18” doll and are easily modified to be shoes instead.  

Skill: Beginner US Terms  Materials: A small amount of worsted weight yarn h hook (5.00 mm) Yarn needle for weaving in ends.  Gauge: Not necessary 

Stitches: Slip Stitch (sl st) Chain (ch) Single Crochet (sc) Single Crochet 2 Together (sc2tog) Half Double Crochet (hdc)  Notes: From row 3 onward, pull your joins tight. Your first stitch will be in the same stitch as the join. You will not stitch into the last stitch, which was pulled tight. This will make your seam straight.

Simple Doll Boots 

Round 1: ch 7, hdc into 2nd ch from hook. Hdc in next 4 chs. 5 hdc into last ch, working around to opposite side of chain. Hdc in next 4 chs. 4 hdc in last ch. Join to first hdc. (18) 

Round 2: ch 2, hdc in next stitch and the following 4 stitches. 2hdc in the next 4 stitches. Hdc in the next 5 stitches. 2hdc in remaining 4 stitches. Join to first hdc. (26) 

Round 3: (change color if desired) ch 1, sc into the 3rd loop of each hdc stitch. Join. (26) 

Round 4: ch 1, sc in the same stitch and next 25 stitches. Join (26) 

Round 5: ch 1, sc in the same stitch and following 4 stitches. 4 sc2tog over the next 8 stitches. Sc in the next 13 stitches. Join. (22) 

Round 6: ch 1, sc in the same stitch and following 2 stitches. 4 sc2tog over the next 8 stitches. Sc in the next 11 stitches. Join (18) 

Round 7: ch 1, sc in the same stitch and following 2 stitches. 2 sc2tog over the next 4 stitches. Sc in the next 11 stitches. Join (16) 

[Finish off and sew in ends here to make shoes. Continue for boots.] 

Round 8 - 13: ch 1, sc in the same stitch and following 15 stitches. Join. (16) Change color for Round 13 if desired. Finish off and sew in ends.
