significant AAA is treated using either open surgery or endovascular repair (EVAR). The success of EVAR procedures depends on restricting the blood flow to the inside of the inserted stent, relieving the aortic aneurysm wall of tension. Should so-called endoleaks occur, blood would flow between the EVAR stent and the artery wall exposing the weakened aortic wall to stresses threatening the structural integrity of the artery. Endoleaks are hypothesized in part to be due to vascular reactivity in the endothelial lining of the aorta on the inflow side of the stent, which may be caused by changes in wall shear stresses. 3D CFD analyses may prove useful in determining dangerous hemodynamic factors, allowing for improved risk assessment, assisting the choice between open surgery and EVAR procedures. We have various licensing option depending on the license type. Academia, teaching, commercial and if node-locked or floating etc. And time! 6000-7000£ per module. Mimics also does a nice job an has quite some useful tools (for example for implants) but our strength is to go from scan to mesh in a direct way without to worry about any mesh qualities, fixing problems, complexity of the model, ... We are only depending on the image (resolution, scanner, ...) If you need any specific application or tools we are happy to get in contact with you to develop something that fits your needs. Approx. 50% of our staff are software developers (15 people in total) Mapping the HU to the density must be calibrated from points in your model where you know the greyscale value and the real density (2 points needed because linear dependencies) Meshing and smoothing uses priority technology (patented), filters using ITK. All HEX mesh is for natural structures nearly impossible, so we don’t do it. Customers using our software are located in the Oil and Gas industry, reverse engineering, materials, research (like universities) and of course biomedical. Don’t mess with questions you don’t know. Say you will establish the contact to the right person. How long took the head model ? A person who has not used the software before was creating this model and it took about 3 – 6 month. Is that something your interested in ? (If yes, go to him after presentation/demo)
