Pioneers of the Black Media of the Inland Empire Concerned African American Churches Award, and the Continental Cablevision "Certificate of Achievement" for Best Religious Program and Best Opening Titles. During his professional music career Bill also served as a Judge for the Annual McDonald Gospel Fest, and he served on the Judge Panel for The Gabriel Awards. Up unto his home-going, Bill Bufkin was President of Simply Gospel Television Network, a Gospel Internet Station, and sat on the Advisory Board of The Gospel Music Hall of Fame in Detroit Michigan. He attended Ecclesia Christian Fellowship Church, were he served as the manager of the church video ministry, called "The Bread of Life Television Ministry."

WE LOST A QUIET GIANT AND FRIEND On September 1, 2012

"Bill" Bufkin was one of the most humble and gentle servants of God. He founded and was senior producer of Simply Gospel Television Show. William Bufkin was better known as "Uncle Bill" to his close friends and colleagues. He started his career in the 1950's as a member of the Lemon Gospel Singers, and later teamed with the legendary Pilgrim Travelers. In 2001, the Pilgrim Travelers were inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Detroit, Michigan. In 1965, Bill left the Pilgrim Travelers to form Vonice Records. He went on to produce such Gospel Legends as Cassietta George and Thurston Frazier for Audio Arts Records. In the early 80's Bill moved into independent television film making. Later, in 1989, he saw a vacancy and need for a gospel music television show in the Los Angeles region. He became a producer for Continental Cablevision, later to become Comcast and eventually AT&T. Simply Gospel was the first Gospel music television Show contracted by Cable to produce a show of this format in the Los Angeles area. The show highlights

I wanted to bring to light a very serious situation that has taken over our young (teenage) generation.

While visiting one of my favorite churches in the Inland Empire, I saw teenage boys walking around in shirts

by Obey Clothing. In particularly the Andre the Giant shirt The shirts were very creepy. I’m that type of

person that doesn’t like girls going to church in tight skimpy clothing, but I never thought I’d have an issue

with boys. Of course, we want them to pull there clothes up or not wear jeans as tight as their female

counterparts—which is quite ridiculous looking. However, I went to the website http:// obeyclothing.com

and saw how they try to bring awareness to organizations. There was a cute little doggy face t-shirt, kinda

makes you stop and think that it’s okay—fundraising and all. But no, I still re- member these kids from

church and their eerie t-shirts are imbedded in my memory. One was wearing the shirt in the center with

the wrinkly old face.

Westler Andre the Giant Has a Posse is a street art designed by Shepard Fairey created in 1989. Sirus (at

thedoggstar.com) posted a blog stating: “ [In] scriptures it says that the giants were the offspring of the

Fallen Angels, and the word used in the Bible as Giant, is the Hebrew Nephilim, which means Fallen Ones,

just like Lucifer is the main fallen one.”

Take what I have found as you will, just remember the next time you’re rocking a skull t-shirt, that

Proverbs 8:36 states, “But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love
