is fast becoming a great alternative to solid timber.

Essentially an engineered timber floor is a genuine

timber floor made up of several cross laminated

layers. This provides excellent stability for the timber

floor as the cross-laminated formation significantly

reduces expansion and contraction of the boards in

the changing climatic environments.

Engineered Timber Floors traditionally have a 3mm

top wear layer. This provides the ability for the

timber floor to be re-sanded once or twice after its

initial installation. New variations of engineered

timber floors are now available including a product

with a 0.6mm wear layer making the product less

expensive. Also available is the luxurious

Straightwood with a 5mm wear layer. Straightwood

can be re-sanded as many times as solid timber

with an added advantage of superior stability.

Available in the wider 130mm and 180mm boards,

Straightwood is the perfect balance between

engineered and solid timber.

When you have decided on the type of timber floor you prefer, we will assist you with:

- your preferred installation method for your floor type (floating, direct stick, plank on ply)

- your preferred coating system (waterborne, solvent based, oil wax finishes)

- your preference for skirting or beading to be installed around the perimeter of the floor

- the facilitation of a suitable contractor to install and finish your floor

We will then help you through the process of delivery, installation and finishing. We don’t

consider our job is finished until our customers are living with their new floor.

We are proud of our extensive history in timber

flooring dating back to 1988. We make every effort to

serve our customers to a high standard which results in

much of our ongoing business coming from referrals and

returning satisfied customers. In addition to our legal

statuary warranty obligations, bosch timber floors provides

the following guarantee in relation to its products and

services:

1. All timber supplied out of bosch timber floors

accurately reflects the timber species and grade ordered.

All timber supplied is traceable by pack number back to

the timber mill of supply to enable confirmation of the

timber and grade supplied.

2. All timber supplied out of bosch timber floors is tested

for moisture content prior to dispatch to ensure it is within

Australian Standards and suitable for installation.

3. All timber supplied is delivered into the customers

home environment to enable acclimatisation where

appropriate and ensuring the timber is not exposed to

extreme weather conditions.

4. All timber supplied is from reputable manufacturers

who provide appropriate warranties on their products.

bosch timber floors will promptly investigate and action

any appropriate concerns on timber faults on behalf of its

customers.

5. bosch timber floors facilitate installations of timber floors

through experienced trade installers and sanders. We work

only with selected professionals whose work we know and

trust. We regularly inspect the finished work of installers to

ensure that the finished floors continue to present to

acceptable industry standards.

6 Under guidelines provided by the Building Commission of

WA, consumers have protection on the quality of workmanship

of installations for up to 6 years from the date of installation.

bosch timber floors will at all times facilitate resolution of any

problems or issues experienced by customers prior to and

after supply and installation of their timber floors through

contractors.

7. We require all installers and sanders we recommend apply

adhesive and coating systems in line with manufacturers’

recommendations to ensure warranties are protected for those

products. bosch timber floors will facilitate any appropriate

claims on adhesive and coating system faults through the

manufacturers on behalf of its customers.
