SYNOPSIS short:Sin and Illy have a plan: on a Greek island they want to get 'clean' on their own. Butthe intention of the two girls fails already on the way to the airport. Finally Sin realizesshe has to go the way out of heroin addiction all alone.

SYNOPSIS long:The drug-addicted SIN tries once again to withdrawal from heroin and thereforewants to get away from the cold, gray city of Frankfurt /M to a Greek island. The young woman gets the money for the flights by selling blank prescriptions which she stole in the doctor's office of her father. Sin separates from her boyfriend LEON and tries to win her friend and young prostitute ILLY for the travel, who was dropped out by her her pimp MESUTH. However, the two girls do not come too far. Looking for Illy's passport they strand on a permanent campsite near the Frankfurt airport. In the caravan of Illy´s alcoholic mother reveals all the misery of addiction and hopelessness. The film shows a realistic, unsparing look at the endless cycle ofdrugs, alcohol and drug-related crime, which Sin wants to escape with her laststrength, but she can manage it only by breaking off consistently all bridges behindher. The longing to travel to sunny Greece ends for the physically entirely leachedSin once again only in the rehab.

BIOGRAPHYMaria Hengge was born on March 22nd in1970 in Chicago, IL, USA and grew up in Munich, Germany. 1998 she finished her acting studies at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna, Austria and worked as Member of the Ensemble at the Viennese Burgtheater till 2005. Beside her work as actress and director in theater and films, she studied film dramaturgy at the Babelsberg University for film in Berlin. 2008 she realized her first short film THE LAST BUS, which was presented in over 30 int. film festivals. From 2009 -2015 she realized her first feature film SIN & ILLY STILL ALIVEas writer, director and producer.

DIRECTOR´S STATEMENTMy feature film SIN & ILLY STILL ALIVE focuses on the way out of drug addiction. Itneeds at least the same courage and will to get away from drugs like to startwith them. With the female young main cast the audience will emphasize and findrealistic and authentic ideas about a way out of addiction instead of taking distanceand stigmatizing.
