Guru Nanak Dev Ji (1469-1539) was the founder of Sikhism. He was an apostle of peace, truth and

love. He preached the unity of God and universal brotherhood. He endeavored to bring the

mankind close to each other in mutual harmony. He realized the truth and communicated to the

world. His teachings focus primarily on two cardinal truths namely : the unity of God and

brotherhood of mankind. Guru Nanak gives the concept of God in the Mool Mantra. Guru Nanak

says, God is one and is the only supreme master, creator, preserver and destroyer. He is

immortal, eternal, without a beginning or end. His existence is apparently visible everywhere. He

is omnipresent and omniscient. Sikhism belongs to every human being and it carries a universal

message in the true sense (sarbat da bhala).

The Guru Nanak‟s message is for universal brotherhood. His three principles were :

1. Naam Japo : Remembering God through meditation all times of day and night during

each and every activity.

2. Kirat Karo : Earning a livelihood by means of earnest, honest efforts and endeavors.

3. Vand Chakko : Selflessly serving others, sharing income and resources including

foodstuffs or other goods.

Guru Nanak Institute of Management, established in 1996,was the first institute under Delhi

Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee(DSGMC) to offer management education. This state of

The PGDM ProgrammeAbout PGDM Course

PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) at Guru Nanak Institute of

Management is a two year full time course approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of

India. The two year programme provides continuous academic input combined with constant

industry interactions which have resulted in 100% placement record over the years in the

companies of repute. The Industry interactions which have resulted up graded to meet the

growing demands of the industry in the area of management. Students pursuing this course are

The program is divided into four semesters. The first two semesters lay the foundation

At GNIM we offer the ultra modern amenities such as Wi-Fi campus fully

furnished classrooms, auditoriums, computer facility and well stocked

Guru Nanak Institute of Management has very

dynamic and High-Tech Labs. Total 242 Core i3,

Dual Core, Core2Duo workstations are there in the

Institute. There are mainly four labs in the

Institute. They are Main Lab, Research Lab, Linux

Lab and Digital Lab. Various Digital Trainers and

Digital Equipments are there in Digital Lab. There

are about 28 Printers which includes LaserJet,

DeskJet, Color LaserJet Printers and Scanner in

the Institute. The Labs are fully Air-Conditioned

and Wi-Fi-enabled. The computer Lab has several

sections. Each of these sections offers different

software applications for support of the

Programming Areas across the Campus such as

Standard Applications, Internet Applications,

political issues etc. which really contributes in the

video cassettes related to AIMA are also available

Cell. The main recruitment processes are:

The Campus Recruitment The companies visit campus and conduct the recruitment process for the final / summer placement. The process

comprises of Written Test / GD / Interview and handling offer letters to the selected candidates.

Early Placement Talks This involves various representations from various organizations to entail a presentation to appraise students

about the organization. The student placement committee with the guidance of placement officer enables

students to evaluate his/her own interest in the company and thus helps one to identify the appropriate profile.

Summer InternshipsAt the end of the first year of their PGDM Programme, all students are required to take up a two-month

internship assignment with an organization. This is a compulsory component of the curriculum for the

completion of the Programme, and is designed to provide exposure to the working of organizations, as well as

a chance to apply the learning at GNIM in solving real-world business problems. The benefits to both sides are
