SEALS AND SEALING RINGS
O-RINGSThe s ealing is achiev ed by m eans of O -R ings bothfor the s tatic (w hen the parts don’t m ov e) and for thedy nam ic (w hen there’s m ov em ent betw een the parts) s ealing. The right dim ens ion of the O -R ing isfu ndam ental for the s ealing. In cas e the O -R ing hasto be replaced, it is high ly recom m ended to u s e exactly the m odels s pecified in the L U E n s .r.l. doc- um entation.The O -R ings s u pplied are s tandard, m ade of a N B Rcom pou nd, hardnes s 7 0 - Shore A , accordingto D IN ISO 1 2 2 9 . They are s u itable for a tem pera- ture range betw een -2 0 ° and + 1 0 0 ° C . In cas e highertem peratu res are reached, it is recom m end-ed to u s e different com pou nds (e.g. Viton). BACK-UP RINGSIn cas e the O -R ing is s u bject to ex pu ls ion from its seat du e to high pres s u re, Parbak rings (hardnes s 90 Shore A ) and Teflon (PTF E ) rings are u s ed.W hen a s ingle Parbak ring is u s ed, it s hou ld alw ay sbe m ou nted on the s ide w hich is not u nder pres - s ure w ith res pect to the O -R ing.
