To make a noun plural we add –s at the end of the word.Book/ Books Bag/Bags Girl/Girls
For nouns that end in –s , -x, -ss, -ch and –o we add –es.Glass/Glasses Bus/ Buses Potato/Potatoes
For nouns that end in –y and have a consonant before the –y, we leave out the -y and add –ies at the end of the word.Baby/Babies Cherry/Cherries
For nouns that end in –f or –fe we leave out the -f or -fe and add –ves at the end of the wordLeaf/Leaves Wife/Wives
Some nouns don´t have plurals that end in –s. Each of them has a different plural form. Sometimes the singular and the plural are the same.Child/Children Foot/Feet Fish/Fish
