Brief Introduction

SM-40L is Planetary Mixer with 10 Agitator Speed. It is produced to mix

liquid ingredients, viscid ingredients and dough. With the Inverter, it is

convenient for operator to shift the speed without stopping the machine.

And the safety grid is fitted to protect the operator from unnecessary injury.

Owners and operators should carefully read and familiarize themselves

with this entire manual before attempting to operate or service this machine.

Complying with this manual will ensure years of safe and trouble-free

operation.

All of the information, illustration and specification contained in this manual

are based on the latest product information available at the time of printing.

Installation

On arrival, examine the machine as well as its packing. If the machine is

found to be damaged in any way, notify the forwarding company

immediately. The damage can then be assessed to determine liability.

Non-obvious damage can be claimed within seven days, including the day

of arrival. We do not grant the right of replacement for any damage claimed

after this period.

The machine is supplied ready for installation, select a location for your

machine with sufficient room for operation, cleaning and servicing.

Electric Connection

Connect the electric cables to the machine with a circuit breaker which is

about 1.5m high over ground.

Connect the right power supply according to the indication on the machine

nameplate. And the electric current value of your power supply must be

steady, otherwise it will do damage to the inverter.

The machine should be on level ground whilst in use, and the grounding

protection is necessary.

Commissioning

After connecting the power supply, press the handle to lift the bowl to the

top position. Then start the mixer to check whether or not the directon of the

machine head rotation is right. When look from above, the mixing head

should rotate clockwise, shown as the arrow on the mixing head. If not,

please swap any two of the three phases.

Agitator

When assembling an agitator, the bowl must be in the down position. Slip

the agitator up on the shaft and turn it until the drive pin is fixed in the bush.

Three agitators are available, each suited to a particular job.

hook beater whipping ball

The hook is used for small quantity of dough; The beater is commonly used

for thin butters and mashing potatoes; The whipping ball is best for mixing

the cream and eggs.

To make the machine could be used for a long period with the best effect,

please read the below list carefully before proceeding to operate the

machine. This list shows the usage of different tools for mixing different

ingredients. Also this list shows the suitable speed for mixing different

ingredients.

Control Panel

See above picture.

1). The left below the “Control” is speed display, green is start

button, red is stop button, a nd is speed shift button. During

operation, press or to in crease or decrease the number on

the , the number ranges from 01 to 10 (but not circulatory), 01 is for

the slowest speed, 10 is for the fastest speed. You can change speed

during the machine is running (don’t need to stop the machine).

2). The right below the “Timer” is running time display, the number

units is minute. The alarm clock and or are time control

button, press , the number on will increase from 10 to 70 (the

number is a multiple of 10). When the number on is 70, if we

press , “--” will display. When we press again, will display 10,

that is the display on is a single circulation. Press or , the

number on will increase or de crease from 01 to 99 (the number is a

multiple of 1), When the number on is 01, if we press , will

display “--” (don’t circulate).

3). “On” is indication lamp for machine running condition. Ordinary light

shows the machine is in running condition with no timing; Red light flicker

shows the machine is in running condition with timing; Light off shows the

machine is in stop condition.

4). If the safety grid is open or bowl

bracket is not at the top position,

below the control and

below the timer will display open

(see the right picture).

5). Red button is Emergency Switch. Press this button when there is

something emergent, and the machine will stop immediately. If we want to

resume its work, we only need to turn the button in the direction of the arrow,

then the button will popup and the machine runs.

Operation Steps

1. Operate the handle to lower the bowl bracket to the bottom position.

2. Put the agitator in the bowl and fix the bowl on the bracket.

3. Install the right agitator.

4. Put the material into the bowl.

5. Operate the handle to lift the bowl to the top position.

6. Release the emergency stop button, set the right speed and kneading

time according to the actual condition, then press the button to start

the mixing.

7. During operation process, you can add the mixing ingredient into the

bowl by opening the safety grid.

8. Open the safety grid when the mixing reachs the estimate effect.

9. Lower the bowl to the bottom position.

10. Turn the fixed handle to loosen the bowl

11. Take down the bowl and the agitator, be careful that don’t leave the

agitator in the bowl, finally pour the mixture.

CAUTION

1. Operate the machine according to the Capicity List. Don’ t overload the

mixer.

2. All the safety cover and side board must be closed during operation

unless maintenance

3. Pay attention to the power cord, protect it from pressing and pulling.

4. The machine should stop automatically when you open the safety cover

or lower the bowl bracket. If not, please ask an authorized technician to

check the limit switch in the machine.

5. All the operators should comply with safety rules on clothing and

wearing.

6. Don’t lean on the machine when the machine is in running condition.

7. Isolate the machine form the power supply before doing the

maintenance.

8. The machine must be in ground protection.

9. After daily use, please isolate the machine from power supply.

10. Press every button on the control panel only with finger, don’t use any

other tools.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning 1). Isolate the machine from power supply before cleaning.

2). Use the wet cloth to clean the machine after daily use, do not wash it

with a running water.

3). Clean the bowl and agitator after daily use. And wipe up them with cloth

to keep the bowl without seeper.

4). Keep the bowl, agitator and other parts contacting with ingredient clean

before daily use.

5). Every 2 or 3 months, open the top cover board and back cover board

and clean the inside.

Maintenance Every month:

1. Check the components to see whether they are in good condition and

the conveyor belts are in good tension.

2. Check the Condition of the power cable, replace them as is necessary.

3. As the shaking of the machine running, rescrew all the bolts every

month.

4. Open the back cover board, grease the gear wheel, worm and other

mesh parts.

5. Grease the drive gear wheel, steps:

a). Remove the safety cover, and you will see an oiling hole on the

planetary head.

b). Grease the machine through filling oil hole.

c). Turn on the machine to check the machine running and noise, when it

is normal, clear the oil around the oiling hole with cloth.

d). Install the safety cover.

Trouble Shooting
