The history of Sirok Accordion Straps.The brand Sirok was born in 1997, when Sirpa Oksa established her company in Hyvinkää, Finland. The products made by the company Nahka-Tuote Sirok (a.k.a. Sirok Accordion Straps) are the most famous accordion straps inside the accordion field in Finland. All products are made from genuine leather and velvet. The product range covers all players from the youngest to the oldest.

PasiPro hip straps came to production over 10 years ago. The idea behind it came from accordion teacher Pasi Hirvonen, but it was Sirpa Oksa who made the design and started the production.

Throughout the years Sirok has produced and sold thousands of accordion straps in Finland and past years also to the Nordic countries.

Pattern examplesPatterns can be applied to Junior shoulder strap, Maestro shoulder straps, and Adult 55 bass strap. All patterns can be with either no colour, in gold, or in gray.

Shoulder strapsThe right strap choice is the first step to find an ergonomic item for you. Too big or too small straps will make it hard to play. We are providing accordion straps from the smallest size to the biggest.

Every shoulder strap meant for adults fits ergonomic PasiPro hip straps. When PasiPro is used correctly, it removes most of the pressure from your shoulders to your hips. PasiPro hip straps are recommended especially when playing with heavy accordions and when playing standing. PasiPro also helps when seated.

In every shoulder strap set there is included a back strap, which is never riveted to the shoulder straps. It is always a separate part and also available as a sparepart.

Measuring the strapsMeasure your old straps before purchasing new straps. By doing that you can be sure that you're buying the right items. Strap lenght is always measured from the main leather, not from the attachment parts or buckles. However, widths given in this document is at the straps widest area. Remember that the leather straps stretches always use.

The widest shoulder strap model, The Elephant, is 11 cm wide and designed in such a way, that it follows the body line on the shoulder area. It is not listed in this catalog, but can be produced by request like all the other straps.

The Little Mini is the smallest shoulder strap available. The length is 48 cm and the width is 3,5 cm. This model fits best for the youngest players and their small accordions with one to two sets of reeds. These straps are having a lot of reserve for adjustments. The right strap can be adjusted from 50 to 67 cm.

In the Little Mini shoulder straps the lower part is size XS (right 22 cm, left 18 cm).

This product includes a back strap which is 2 cm wide. It can be adjusted from 22 to 36 cm.

The Mini shoulder straps are good for children. The length is 53 cm and the width is 5,5 cm. This model fits best to accordions with two sets of reeds. The straps are having a lot of reserve for adjustments. The right strap can be adjusted from 55 to 72 cm. In the Mini shoulder straps the lower parts are size XS.

The Junior shoulder straps are good for youngsters. The length is 60 cm and the width is 8 cm. This model fits best for accordions with two to three sets of reeds. The straps are having a lot of reserve for adjustments. The right strap can be adjusted from 66 to 83 cm. In the Junior shoulder straps, the lower part is size XS.

This product includes a back strap which is 2 cm wide. It can be adjusted from 35 to 50 cm. In this model, you can also choose to have a pattern printed on the leather.

The Narrow strap model is good when wanting to have an oldish look for your accordion. It is narrow as the straps were in the old days, however this model is having paddings. Also, if you want to have a shoulder strap set to your diatonic accordion, then this would be a good choice.

The length is 72 cm and the width is 4,5 cm. The straps are having a lot of reserve for adjustments. The right strap can be adjusted from 76 to 95 cm. In the Narrow shoulder straps the lower part is size M.

This model is not recommended to use with heavy accordions!

The Narrow Maestro shoulder straps are good for youngsters and slim people – it is not a too wide model. The length is 72 cm and the width is 7,5 cm. This model fits best for accordions with three to four sets of reeds. The straps are having a lot of reserve for adjustments. The right strap can be adjusted from 76 to 95 cm. In the Narrow Maestro shoulder straps, the lower part is size M.

The Maestro shoulder strap is the most sold model. The length is 72 cm and the width is 9,5 cm. This model fits the best for accordions with three or more sets of reeds. In the model Curved Narrow Maestro ergonomics have been brought to new level when compared to normal strap models with a straight cut. This model strap is not too wide and it fits very well to slim people. The length is 72 cm and the width is 7,5 cm. The straps are having a lot of reserve for adjustments.

The lowest part in this strap model has been made to give you a pleasant feeling while playing. Especially when standing, this model won't make such pressure against your body which is quite common with normal strap models (especially with heavy accordions). Only the model PasiPro gives better support than this model.

The lowest parts go around your hips and their measures are 33 cm for left and 37 cm for right side. This item has shoulder and hip straps but not a back strap. The lower part can be adjusted 86 to 118 cm. The model doesn't fit for the smallest players. The lower part is 4 cm wide and it has a light padding.

Curved Maestro

PasiPro Hip strapsThe hip straps are the most supportive type of accordion straps that you can find. When used correctly it moves pressure from the shoulders to the hips. The PasiPro hip straps do also fit juniors.

When PasiPro is used correctly, it takes most of the pressure away from the shoulders to the hips. This keeps the blood circulating around in your body and therefore you can feel your upper body being relieved from the heavy feeling of the accordions.

PasiPro straps is formed from two side pieces and two back pieces which can easily be attached to each others with plastic catch. You can fasten PasiPro straps to most shoulder straps which uses metal buckles. PasiPro is 7 cm wide and back straps are 6 cm wide. The strap set lenght is variating by the size.

Finding the right size and right adjustments with PasiPro straps can take some time, be patient. Every single human body is different from each others and so are accordions; strap fasteners can be located differently in different accordions as they can be different sizes and models. As main rule, you have the right adjustments when the accordion is placed in a good position on your lap. It shouldn't move too much up or down when you change playing position from sitting to standing. Please note that if you have the wrong kind of playing position, PasiPro doesn't help. In these cases the straps might not even fit for the user. PasiPro is holding the accordion close to your body. It doesn't allow you to keep the accordion low or close by the knees.

PasiPro is the culmination of accordion straps. The strap is attached to the bottom of the accordion and to the shoulder straps - it replaces the lowest part from the normal straps such as Narrow Maestro and Maestro. PasiPro is wide, supporting and it is designed to go along with the human body.

You can find the right size only by testing the straps with your own accordion. The following table is having the measures for PasiPro. The measures are taken from the parts with paddings.

When deciding which straps you should take, the best size for you is the size which is closest to your waist measure. Remember, you can always loosen straps, but not make them smaller. For example, if your waist is 85–90 cm, size M is good.

PasiPro straps can be changed between each others. For example, you can take side straps size M and back straps size S. In this case the attachment places for shoulder straps comes towards on your back. The PasiPro set includes only the hip straps, not shoulder straps.

Bass straps

Bass straps are universal – they fit as a standard to variating types of accordions. The length is measured from top to bottom on the leather. The leather width is 4,5 cm at the measure points.

No metal parts are included.

Over 55 cm long models are not listed. Extra long models needs to be measured before purchasing. These long straps are needed f. ex. to accordions from 1930's.

Note that the leather streach with usage. Make sure you are setting the metal parts correctly and make tight enough fit for the user. Althought the model range is wide, infrequently there might come a need to cut the strap shorter to gain perfect fit.

The Kid 42 is good for children accordions. The length is 42 cm and the width is 7,5 cm in the middle. The padding is 1 cm. The leather is 4,5 cm wide at the ends and it fits generally to different kinds of accordions.

The fasteners are not included to this product. If you want to change the old bass strap to new ones by yourself, take the fasteners off from the old strap and fasten them to the new strap.

Adult 55 fits mostly to accordions with four sets of reeds. The length is 55 cm and the width varietes from 7,5 to 8,5 cm in the middle depenings on the padding size. You can make a choose between padding size (note your accordion standing feet hight). The leather is 4,5 cm wide at the ends and it fits generally to different kinds of accordions.

Accessory parts

The back strap width is 2 cm. Size S is 22–36 cm and size M is 35–50 cm.

Buckle covers protects your accordion from scratch made by metal buckles. To one strap set, you need four covers. The Cone shaped buckle cover fits best to the top of the straps.

Warranty:The warranty covers only manufacture mistakes. Please note that warranty is not covering misusage or any problems caused by long term usage. In regular usage, f.ex the fastening parts can stretch and the pattern color can faint in long time interval. Note that straps are reliable and long lasting, if there are no metal or other sharp edges touching the strap fabric. Also, no strap is able to handle the pressure if they are put too tight. Specially on PasiPro straps, make sure that the straps are on the correct size. If too small size is set too tight, the fabric will break after the leather is stretched over its natural expansion. The buckles have to be used properly all the time.

When receiving the delivery, check the products and contact sales person within 14 days if there are any warranty issues.

All Sirok accordion straps are made in Finland. Genuine leather and velvet are used in the products. Leater is a natural material and it will stretch in usage.
