set by the sporting organisations outside the school.SISAC, PRC, SDRC and ACAMIS.
SIS Sports has a proud history and were a founding member of all the above sporting organisations.
The SIS Athletics Director has a leadership position on all the above sporting organisations.
Sports at Secondary are a separate entity to ASAs they are part of the Athletics Program - not the Activities Program.
Sports at Secondary do not run in 3 trimesters a year - only our ASAs do.
Sports at Secondary train Tuesdays and Thursdays at venture of campus until 5:30pm.

Athletics• Sports team coaching takes place on:
• Tuesday and Thursday.
• Individual sports such as Cross-Country, Swimming and Track and Field takes place on Tuesday and Friday to enable cross-over athletes.
• Sports team coaching time:
• 3:30pm - 5:30 pm. Teams will be back at Bayside before 6pm for late bus students for bus riding students. Sports bus continues to Jingshan.
• Venues - teams will train at quality venues such as SZ Bay Sports Centre, Shekou Sports Centre, SIS Jingshan Facilities, Soccer World, or Welcome Badminton.
Athletics• Sports teams will have at least 2 coaches.
• SIS has 3 seasonal Sports Awards Nights a year which all coaches and team members are expected to attend. Parents are more than welcome to attend and mostly do.
• Students sign-up for sports online using Gecko Portal. Online parent permission forms sent home in 1st week of training.
• No limit on squad size however traveling teams will be selected for end of season tournaments. We do focus on participation during the season.

Activities
• There are 3 trimesters of ASAs about 8-9 weeks each. ASA trimester dates are; T1 - Sept11 - Nov 10, T2 - Dec 11 - Mar 02, T3 - Apr 09 - June 08.
• ASAs take place on Monday, Friday, advisory and some lunch times. No ASAs on student free days or half school days.
• ASAs times are 3:30pm - 4:30pm.
• Students sign-up for ASAs online using Gecko Portal. Parents will be sent a welcome letter from ASA supervisors prior to trimester start.
• Usually no limit on ASA size, however for some interscholastic ASAs traveling teams will be selected for end of season event. We do focus on participation during the season.
