\ sistercities.org/yls \ \ SISTER CITIES INTERNATIONAL’S 2018 YOUTH LEADERSHIP SUMMIT AUGUST 1-5, 2018 Aurora, Colorado “After the conference I concluded that U.S. diplomacy could potentially be a career I would like to do in the future.” Foster the next generation of citizen diplomats and leaders! The Youth Leadership Summit engages students aged 14 - 18 through specialized simulations, site visits, speaker sessions, and peer interactions to empower them to think globally about critical issues. By interacting with other peers from around the world, students at the summit become a new generation of volunteers who are instrumental in promoting peace, mutual respect, and understanding among communities locally and worldwide. Summit Youth Leadership Summit includes: lunch and dinner on Wednesday; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday; and breakfast on Sunday. Please note, all students flying to the Summit will be required to provide flight information to Sister Cities International to ensure airport pick-up and drop-off. Housing Students will experience a taste of college life by lodging at the dorms of University of Denver. Chaperones will supervise the students in the residence halls.
