Improving the image of construction A1 poster The A1 poster shows the public that this site is registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme. It displays the contact details for the registered site and for the Scheme. A1 posters are available in English and Welsh. They should be displayed on the perimeter of the site, placed on hoarding, fencing or site entrances that are in a prominent position to allow members of the public to view them easily. Ideally displayed in a simple covered frame (these can also be purchased from the Scheme, please see page 2). Posters must be kept in a clean and legible state and should be checked regularly to ensure the project information is up-to-date. They must be displayed throughout the duration of the project. Additional posters are available from the administration office at a cost of £11.30 (+ VAT) per poster. Site Registration postersA1 frame• A1 snap open poster frames are available to purchase from the

Scheme's administration office for £54 (+ VAT). The frames can be purchased to be used for other material; they do not have to be used solely for the Scheme's A1 poster.

• Poster(s) not included.

A3 poster• Smaller versions of the standard A1 poster are available on request at a

cost of £4.50 (+ VAT) per poster.

• These smaller posters are designed to be used either on sites where large posters are impractical or unsuitable, or for a single registration that covers many smaller sites.

5mm thick rigid A1 poster • 5mm thick rigid PVC site poster

boards are a more robust alternative to the standard A1 poster and are available to purchase from the Scheme's administration office for£23.10 (+ VAT) each.

A3 Code of Considerate Practice• The Code of Considerate Practice should be displayed where it can be

viewed by operatives working on site.

• Additional copies of the Code of Considerate Practice are available freeof charge from the administration office.

A1 star rated performance posters• A1 star rated performance posters show the public how your site has

performed against the Scheme’s Code. The posters display a star rating ranging from three to five, based on the score awarded to the site following the most recent Monitor’s visit.

• Star rated performance posters cost £11.30 (+ VAT) each and can be purchased following a Monitor’s visit.

• If they are purchased during the online registration of a site, they will only be dispatched following the Monitor’s visit and may incur an additional postage cost.

A3 ‘Spotlight on…’ awareness posters• A3 posters aimed at raising awareness of various construction-related

issues to display on-site. Please visit the Scheme website to find out about the latest ‘Spotlight on…’ campaign.

• Each poster costs £4.10 (+ VAT).

• Alternatively you can download a PDF version of each poster from the Scheme’s website.

Code in Action posters• The 'Code in Action' posters can be displayed externally to show

members of the public how much the industry has changed over the years, or used internally to inspire the workforce and make them proud of their efforts in improving the industry’s image.

• The posters come in an eye-catching A1 size and can be purchased unframed for £31 (+ VAT) each or framed for £82 (+ VAT). Alternatively, a five-poster set is also available at a discount, with an unframed set for£123 (+ VAT) or framed for £328 (+ VAT).

Cause for complaint posters• These posters highlight the three main causes for complaint from the

public and provide suggestions on how these issues may be avoided.

• The posters can be downloaded from the Scheme’s website and are forinternal use only. They can be printed on either A4 or A3 sized paper.

A1 site cartoon poster• The purpose of the poster is to give an easy to understand, visual

overview of the different areas of the Scheme’s concerns.

• All sites are issued with one copy of the A1 site cartoon poster.Additional copies are available free of charge from the Scheme’sadministration office.

• The cartoon poster is only intended for use inside the site.

• They should be displayed where they can be easily viewed by siteoperatives – ideally in a canteen or similar.

A3 24/7 contact information poster• Allows you to write a 24 hour contact number so that the public can get

in touch with any comments or complaints.

• £4.10 (+ VAT) each.

Banners• Available in six different designs in three sizes:

• Banners should be displayed throughout the duration of the project.

• They should be displayed where they are clearly visible to the general public.

• Banners should be securely fastened to either the hoardings or scaffolding using the eyelets.

• Banners should be kept in a clean and legible state.

• Any unwanted or used banners should be returned to the Scheme’s office for recycling.

• Additional banners are available at the following costs: small banner - £59 (+ VAT) eachlarge banner - £77 (+ VAT) eachmega banner - £282 (+ VAT) each

Large mesh banner• Large banners are also available in a mesh PVC material

at a cost of £77 (+ VAT) each. These are ideally suited for sites prone to strong winds.

Site Registration flagsFlag - landscape orientation• These measure 1.80m x 1.20m and are available from the administration

office at the cost of £28.20 (+ VAT) per flag. When used, these should be maintained in a good condition.

Flagpole for landscape flag• 7m (6.15m above ground) two section aluminium alloy flagpole in a

white finish complete with white truckhead, external halyard, cleat and ground socket.

• These are available for £149 (+ VAT) each.

• Flag not included. Maximum recommended flag size is 1.80m x 1.20m.

Please note that an additional delivery charge may apply to dispatch

to Scotland and Ireland. Please contact the Scheme for more information.

Flag - portrait orientation• These measure 0.9m x 1.80m and are available from the administration

office at a cost of £31 (+ VAT) per flag. When used, these should be maintained in a good condition.

Flagpole for portrait flag• 7m (6.15m above ground) two section aluminium alloy flagpole in a

white finish complete with white truckhead, 1m rotating suspension arm, weight and ground socket.

• These are available for £164 (+ VAT) each.

Site Registration additional productsNeighbour Flyer• The flyer is designed to be given to anyone who may be

affected by the activities of a registered site. It explainswhat the Scheme is about, confirms what is expected ofthose who choose to register with the Scheme, andpromotes your site's commitment to the Code ofConsiderate Practice.

• Please call the Scheme for more information on costs.

Scheme films• Four informative films, relating to the Scheme and its

activities, are available to watch online or download.Alternatively, you can request a copy on DVD from theScheme’s administration office.

• One film provides a general overview of the Scheme, oneis for site neighbours affected by works and the othertwo introduce the Scheme to either the site manager orsite operatives.

Induction presentation • A Scheme induction is available free of charge as a

PowerPoint presentation which can be downloadedfrom the Scheme’s website.

Scheme umbrella• Scheme branded double canopy golf umbrella available

to purchase for £25.50 (+ VAT) each.

Operatives’ Handout• The Operatives' Handout explains the basic principles

of the Scheme. It is designed to be given to operatives at induction.

• Operatives’ Handouts are available from the Scheme’s administration office at a cost of £13.40 (+ VAT) for a quantity of 50.

Ivor and Honor Goodsite Ivor and Honor Goodsite costumes• Industry mascots, Ivor and Honor Goodsite, are costumed characters

developed by the Considerate Constructors Scheme and used byconstruction companies to engage with a younger audience, toencourage safety on and around construction sites and to promote allthat is positive about the construction industry.

• Both Ivor and Honor are available to attend appropriate industryrelated events and the costume can be hired via the Scheme’sadministration office.

Ivor Goodsite’s ‘Hunt the Hazard!’ site sign• The ‘Hunt the Hazard!’ site sign is designed to show a younger audience

potential hazards of playing on construction sites.

• ‘Hunt the Hazard!’ signs measure 1m x 1.48m and are made from durable Correx board and are available from the Scheme for£56 (+ VAT) each.

• This sign is also available as an A1 poster without the character for£30.50 (+ VAT) each.

Ivor Goodsite’s promotional sign• Ivor Goodsite's promotional sign measures 0.75m x 1.48m and

features a space for contractors to place their own messages to promote site activities and initiatives, and keep local residents up to date.

• The promotional sign is available to purchase for £36 (+ VAT) each.

Honor Goodsite’s ‘Spot the Job!’ site sign• The ‘Spot the Job!’ site sign has been developed to be displayed on

site hoarding for children to identify a number of different career opportunities within the construction industry.

• ‘Spot the Job!’ signs measure 1m x 1.48m and are made from durable Correx board and are available from the Scheme for£56 (+ VAT) each.

Construction Industry Helpline

The Construction Industry Helpline provides free 24/7 support to theconstruction industry’s workforce and their families on a range of topicsincluding finance, depression, occupational health and wellbeing, illnessand bereavement.

Organisations can play their part in raising awareness, as well as much-needed funds, by purchasing Helpline Packs for their workforce. All profits from the sale of the packs will be donated to the ConstructionIndustry Helpline to fund its ongoing support.

Helpline Packs• A range of packs are available to purchase containing a number of

Helpline cards for distribution to the workforce and A2 posters that canbe displayed on site or in an office. There are nine packs in total, whichare suitable for sites, companies and suppliers of different contractvalues and sizes.

• By purchasing a pack, a commitment is also made to undertakea ‘Lighthouse Day’, which can be any day in the calendar yearwhere anything can be done to raise much-needed funds for theLighthouse Club.

• Packs start from as little as £20 (+ VAT).
