In a distributed antenna system (DAS)the tapper samples the signal from the main feeder cable for different building floors. Tappers are alternative coupler design, which is lower cost than directional couplers, and offer larger bandwidth.

SDP cable loads offer very low passive intermodulation IMD. They have applications in measurement setup and in wireless infrastructures such as BTS and in building DAS
networks where the systems are very sensitive to spurious generation. They are mainly used to terminate unwanted port of hybrid couplers used as in-band combiner.
Available from 698 to 2700 MHz and from 50 W to 350 W. High power models come with finned heat sink to dissipate the heat. The surface temperature will not exceed the 90°C required by the International Eletrotechnical Commission (IEC 60950). Available in black or gray.
