1. Sign in - important - you can't do anything until you are in!

o from school - click on your name from the 'faculty and staff' page, click on 'sign in' in the upper right corner.

o from home - same as above, but you will have to log in with your school user name and password.

2. Add a page - 1. click on the 'New Page' icon on the left

2. You will be asked the new page name o enter the name, and then

o click on 'Create'

You're in! New page created!

3. Editing your page - important - you must ALWAYS be logged in and have clicked on the 'revise' icon in order to edit.

You will notice that the tools for the page are set up like a MicroSoft Word document. You use them in the same way.o You have a choice of fonts and font sizeso You can change the font colorso You can highlighto You can align text to the left, center, right or justifiedo You can change the text layout on the pageo Many other functions available - check them out!

Start typing in the box - Make sure that you 'Save & Close' before leaving the page (on the upper left)

4. Add a Link - click on the Editing Tools 'Insert' tab

Click on 'Link'

Click on 'From Address'(I've never used 'From Sharepoint')

Fill in 'Text to Display,' and

copy and paste your link address (URL)

Click on OK - and there is your link with the text you wanted!

Click on 'Upload File'

Choose file to upload, click 'OK'

Give your document a name thatyou want your students to see and click 'Save'

Done!

6. Add an image - go to 'Editing Tools - 'Insert' tab

Click on 'Picture'

You can upload from yourcomputer, from a web address or from SharePoint (I've never used this)You can also put in a web address link

Upload as if it were a document - click on 'Save'

To format, click on the picture (it will be shaded),then click on 'Picture Tools, Design'

A tool bar will appear - you can sizeit, position it, put a border around it

Hover your mouse over the date you want - click on the '+Add' that will appear

Complete the information (I always show as an "All Day Event') and click on 'Save'

8. Announcements - go to home page and click on either 'add new announcement' or 'Announcements'

Input the title of your announcement,additional information in the Body, and Expiration date (if needed), and 'Save'

You may also attach documents to yourannouncement.

9. Resources - Go to home page and click on either 'Resources' or '+Add new link'

Copy and paste your web address, add notes and description as needed.

Check that the link is correct - then

'Save'!

Free site - just sign up. Upload vocabulary to create sets of words for a whole bunch of fun, interactive games for students.

Free games and the option for premium games - just sign up for the community forum. You can create multiple choice word games with the most awesome results. I cannot begin to say how much fun they are!

Fling the Teacher (create a catapult - get 15 questions correct and countdown to toss your 'teacher' across the landscape)

Teacher Invaders (Space invaders with different levels. Answer questions to get more lives and ammo to stop the teacher invaders!)
