Definitions

“Organizational Change”: n the process by which an institution undergoes change to meet a felt need (Eisenbach, Watson, &

Pillai, 1999).

“Transformational Leader”: n. a type of leader whose character, persuasiveness, and ability to strategize guarantee that he or she will be influential (or transformational) to achieve shared goals (Synthesized by Scarborough, 2010; See also Burns, 1978; Bass & Steidlmeier, 2006;

Banks, Ledbetter, & De Pree, 2004).

“Christian Transformational

Leadership”: Leadership that declares a

Biblical or Christian foundation, or is

specifically directed to the Church. It holds that

a leader’s vision, character, persuasiveness,

and ability to strategize guarantee that he or

she will be influential (or transformational) to

achieve shared goals (Scarborough, 2010; See also

Barna, 1997; Blackaby & Blackaby, 2011; Munroe, 2005;

Stanley, 2006).
