There are different types of visa

• Immigrant visas.

• Noninmigrant visas.

If you chose Noninmigrant visa, You should choose among

those classes of visa:

Tourism and Business (b1/b2)

Studying in the U.S (F & M).

Exchange programs – Au Pairs, Summer

Work Travel, Bilingual Teachers, etc. (J)

Temporary Workers (H, L, O, P)

Religious Workers (R) Domestic Employees (B1, A-3, G-5)

Members of a Comercial Ship or Flight Crew

(C1, D)

Traders and Investors (E1, E2) Press and Media (I)

Diplomats and Officials (A, G, C3)

Human Trafficking and victims of crime

(S, T, &U)

This type of visa is used specially when:

A person needs to go to USA for business.

A person wants to visit someone.

A person wants to go for vacations.

You need those documents for obtaining the visa for tourism

and business (B1/B2):

• A valid Passport.

• The confirmation page from the

DS-160 Application form.

• A photograph with those specifications:

1) 2Inches x 2Inches

2) White Background

3) Color

4) The photograph should be without

alterations

• You don’t need more documents,

but if You want, You can carry

more documents for the interview

for explaining your actually

situation in Colombia.

• If a person is under the age of 14, that

person should has a copy of his or her

birth certificate.

The confirmation page DS-160, is a page that you should have on-line for

transcting the visa. You can find it in English and Spanish Language.

If You want to get the visa, You have to do the next:

1) Select the type of visa (In

this case, nonimmigrant visa

for tourism and business

B1/B2). 2) Complete the application

form DS-160. (Remember

that you can find it in

Spanish and English

language).

When you have completed

it, you have to print it whit

the barcode.

3) You have to pay the non - refundable

application fee and Schedule appointment (If

required).

. Remember that all the people don’t need an

interview

4) You have to program your appointment

for going to the applicant service center

(ASC), in Bogota or Medellin.

Also you have to choose the place for sending

your passport.

5) You have to go to the applicant service

center (ASC) in the date that you chose,

remember that You have to present your

valid passport and your confirmation page

DS-160, When you are there, your biometric

informatión will be collected.

6) You have to appear at U.S Embassy in

Bogota for your interview in the date that

You chose.

7) You have to collect your passport with the

visa in the appointment service center that

you chose.
